I've been feverishly working away the past few weeks & the end result is that all of the French ground units are now finished! This also marks the completion of all the ground units for the v3.6 beta.

Probably the most important tank of all time, it revolutionized tank design & it's layout of turret up front & engine at rear has been the standard ever since.

France's first tank, built like many others of that era using a Holt tractor as the base. They proved difficult to use & very vulnerable to enemy artillery & suffered heavy losses, one is still in running condition today tho & is currently the oldest working tank in the world.

Saint-Chamond was originally going to build the Schneider CA but the rivalry between the two companies meant they couldn't, so they designed there own tank instead. Dew to it's extreme length it was very difficult to drive & often got stuck, it did however have the largest caliber weapon operationally used on a WW1 tank.

Built in 1913 on a De Dion-Bouton truck. It served throughout WW1 as the main SPAAG & dew to it's rugged design 200 of them where still operational at the start of WW2, 26 years later.

Berliet developed several prototype SPAAGs before the war, the final one being the VPH, only a few where built tho.

Very illusive SPG, which I have little information on.

Lorraine's entry into the G1 competition, it went thought several variations as the specifications for the Char G1 changed, it got as far as a full mockup but like the rest of the G1 tanks none where built.
PS: The G1L replaces the G1R as the French Medium tank mid/late war.

Post-war design to make a light & compact as possible MBT. It had reliability issues & couldn't be NBC protected so lost to the AMX-30.

This is the first of three French updates, the next will show their new naval units & should be up sometime this weekend.
