So. How hard is it to find a girl who loves Lord of the Rings?

I have found one, and I treat her like my Noldorin princess, but she is younger than me. :(

Any thoughts on finding another one?

For what purpose?

I've got a girl friend that loves The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. In fact, we're only missing Episode 2 and 3 on Star Wars Blu-ray, then we're gonna see The Lord of the Rings EE on Blu-ray.

He he, for friendship, but a potential girlfriend might have to stand the Lay of Leithien or the Fall of Gondolin.

I think you'll find that someone's appreciation of a certain fantasy universe is utterly irrelevant in the process of building a proper relationship.

Not going to build a relationship with that kind of attitude ¬_¬

What I meant is that I know a girl who likes Lord of the Rings and like I said she is too young.

What Matias said. If "loves Lord of the Rings" is high on the list of things you look for in a potential girlfriend, your priorities need rethinking.

It's certainly not that difficult to find a girl who's interested in Lord of the Rings though. Perhaps not to the depth that you or anyone here might enjoy it, but i know quite a few girls who have enjoyed the films and/or books, and are quite excited for the upcoming Hobbit movie.

How much younger are you talking about?

The trick is to make sure she isn't just an annoying fan girl.
Too many of those around these days. :(

So what exactly is the difference between you and a fanboy/girl?

Hmmm. What a good question for me Matias. I shake my head and wonder how. I guess it is the fact that I only dress up as a king without a crown, only for Bookweek, and wear reasonably comfortable (normal) clothes in cinemas.

Also, I guess priorities does matter. I'll be thinking about that...

Continuing my priorities:

*Works with children (teacher maybe)
*Appreciate literacy as a whole (maybe reads lots of books)
*Appreciate art and design (artist perhaps)

And my main channel of art and design is the Lord of the Rings.

There's a rather big difference between a Fangirl and a Fanboy these days and not just gender.
By Fangirls I mean Squeee the ones who get weird and rather creepy about "nerd stuff" like Hunger Games, Twilight, Harry Potter, Doctor Who and even Lord of the Rings.

Common interests should be a desire in a partner but not a requirement.
I'd like to date a gamer chick but it'd be ok if she didn't play games but understand why I play them.

My list:
Somewhat attractive, somewhat intelligent, stable and cool.
