D-day should work fine online (as long as all players participating have D-day installed), just play RA2 online like you would normally. The XWIS Site has more information & a step by step guide.

Alternatively there is also C&CNet which links players via the LAN instead, but thus far I haven't been able to get it to work.

C&C net works just fine what I've used frequently, may be its some router config or something that blocks it for you.

Mig I figured out how to run D-Day through C&CNet.

Make sure you have a no-cd crack (it's stated on the website) for Red Alert 2 only, not Yuri's Revenge (There isn't as far as I'm sure). Then where there is Executable when you open CnCNet, erase what there is written and then write RunAres.bat (make sure CnCNet is in the directory where there is D-Day installed). It should work. I played some games with my brother without any interference (within the same household) although I don't know whether it will work with anyone who is in a different network.
