I had some problems recently. Youtube deleted my video due to copyright problem ( and I was not sharing original game! )

I also saw in this forum there was a problem with 2.5 to 2.6 link. For make it worse the chinese community sent me new update next day and I did not include it.

I release 2.600, the newest version:

Link:

https://www.mediafir..._2.600.rar/file

It is a reset, you dont need any older version installed. In fact I recommend to do a clean installation in a folder with the original game installed. Just extract the file in same folder as your original game folder.

Happy christmas!

Hi extrano! Hope you had a happy christmas!

I can't get this to work on my pc (windows 11). The normal game runs fine, and the previous version of the mod did as well, but this one, Comm2P does do anything when I click on it, and comm2 crashes immediatly once it opens. comm2_8300 is the only one that works but only a few missions load.
Any ideas on what I could try? Thanks!

Nobody reported windows 11 problems before. First you should make sure you didn't do known mistakes during installation.

1-Make sure the original game is working, run it once, the game will show measuring performance in first run.

2-Make sure you install or installed the mod in the same folder as the original game. People who download from steam have duplicated folder, properly folder is legacy folder. The true folder must have the .exe, folder DATA, folder OUTPUT, DATA.pck and DATA2.pck

3-Make sure your antivirus software is not blocking comm2p.exe, it used to even remove the file.

4-Only sometimes, in windows 10, there are some resolution problems running comm2p.exe, running Win10全屏补丁/安装Win10全屏补丁 will solve this. This step can be skipped If you dont have problems.

I'm don't know if windows 11 is the problem, especially since the normal game and DP 2.6 run fine in it, I just mentioned so you know that's what I'm using. I saw someone with my exact same problem on the facebook group (comments of the release post) and he also couldn't fix it.

1. Yes, the original game runs fine, and it measured performance just fine
2. Yes, I installed it on the legacy folder, I also tried to install it on a non-steam version that I have, same result
3. It's not blocking, and I also whitelisted the whole folder
4. Yes, I tried to run it, sadly nothing changed

This is what the folder looks like: https://ibb.co/hJqTBHwX
As I said, Comm2P does nothing, and comm2 closes immediatly after a black screen.

I tried to run Comm2P via the terminal to see if I get an error message, and this was it: https://ibb.co/60gBWBZH

If 2.6 was working fine, I suggest you to copy and paste all folder DATA in 2.6 main folder and run the old comm2p.exe located in 2.6 folder.

Thanks for responding again!
I had deleted 2.6 from my computer, but reinstalled it to try. For some reason, Comm2P doesn't work anymore even in 2.6. However, comm2.exe works just fine, playing all the missions up to 2.7.
Next, I tried to extract 2.600 DATA folder into it, just like you said. Comm2P still won't open, but comm2.exe still works, except that the loading screens are now in chinese (which is the least of my problems). However, the new 2.600 missions do not work. Some like [FB01] will load back to the main menu, while some like [EX10] will load until almost the end and then crash back to desktop.
I don't know if this helps but: I looked into Windows Event Manager, and it seems like the error that happens in Comm2P is in the iertutil DLL file. The exception code is 0xc0000005. According to google, iertutil.dll has to do with Internet Explorer. I have no clue what this has to do with Comm2P, but IE was removed from windows 11 on the lastest updates, can this be the problem?
