Don't you just love it when you think you are doing something nice and legal that it comes back to bite you in the ass. Bought win7, and had trouble installing some programs... then realized I've bought 32-bits edition of it as I forgot to check the details beyond pro/home. Oh well, back to the cracked ones.

Duke. You're brillant. Seriously bro.
Can't believe I didn't see this earlier.

Anyhow, Phil, your parts list was good. I don't see anything I would really change except perhaps a BluRay drive instead of DVD and a better speaker setup. But if you're good with computer speakers like that, those will be just fine.

Haha, those speakers are a big upgrade for me already, I've been using some nearly 10 year old crappy speakers until now. I'm not an audiophile, that's for sure.

Anyway, wouldn't be able to change the parts list any more because the computer is already assembled. I've installed both OS X and Windows 7 so far and it seems to work like a charm :D Before I can definitely make the switch I'll have to spend some hours transferring data and reinstalling software though, which I dread. Migrating my Windows install will be a pain because I've installed so much developer stuff on my old machine...

I'd suggest cloning the drive and porting it that way but that would probably lead to a ton of driver conflicts and blue screens.

It's been a while, but I figured I'd show you some proof anyway.

Is it a Mac? Is it a PC? No, it's a Hackintosh!

Actually OS X is Unix and borrows heavily from FreeBSD :p
