Hi guys, im just asking this:

ok , i downloaded a sidebar file name sidec03.mix , the problem is i dont know where i need to put that file to make it work in the game

btw, Is a Yuri sidebar

You'll need Ares or Npatch to get Yuri to use his own sidebar. Don't know how Npatch handles it. Just put the sidec03.mix into the RA2 Folder or add it inside your own Mix to prevent clogging. Soviets use Sidec02 & Allies use Sidec01.

In Ares in the RulesMD.ini go to [Thirdside] and make it something like this...

[ThirdSide]
Sidebar.MixFileIndex=3
Sidebar.YuriFileNames=yes

ok , i installed NPatch , and sidec03.mix is already in the game folder , but still dont work , what i need to do?

Like I said... I don't know how it works in Npatch, but in Ares you just need to tweak the [ThirdCountry] to that and then add sidec03.mix into the RA2 Directory.

In NPatch you need to add UseSpecialThirdUI=yes under [UISettings] in rulesmd.ini. UISettings section does not exist in the unmodified game so you need to add it. For an example you could have following in your rulesmd.ini. Important thing to remember is to not put the UISettings section in the middle of an already existing INI section such as [General], or you will encounter a lot of problems.

[UISettings]
UseSpecialThirdUI=yes

[General]
* usual stuff here *

OMG yes yes yes now its working , thanks alot Starkku , now i can play with the side of yuri in all his glory
