Change it back... this is like a moment of relapse for me. I come to Revora for 3 reasons... I open up the site, check the command center, check my Minecraft section then check all the community topics. All at once, based on the most recent post. Now I have to go into a whole different section just to check the 5 different sections I keep track of in there, I base my interest in a section based on if my name is not the top post. I can't check all the topics conveniently now that they're subdivided even more. I like the quick look down the line. It's really weird, but I actually felt a lack of interest in Revora with all of our good topic hidden away. Seriously, it was a surreal moment of me realizing that I'm far too familiar with the community section and how we proudly displayed all of our different community interests. To most of us these days, it's not about the games we're hosting, it's about the awesome topics we make in that community section. Now they're hidden away. It's like the C&C people not visiting our general discussion. They have the forums they keep track of and don't like the hassle of keeping up with anything else Rveora has to offer.
Let me get real, for Revora's sake. I have no interest in sub-forums. I don't visit the junkyard unless someone there made a post that showed up on the front page. I don't check up on every T3A topic, as I keep a close eye on what's popular on the front page. Narrowing the community section is reason enough for me to loose interest in it since I don't want to do that extra click. And here's more reality for us. People coming into Revora generally have no interest in sub-forms. They take one look at our front page and base their interest in that manor. Having the community section like this, would I have gained an interest in Revora back when I first joined? No. Flat out no. I would have seen a lack on focus on the general discussion and never of discovered the Think Tank and all that great stuff we have.
One last thing... stop trying to change the lay-out. It's good how it has been for the past ten billion years, or so. It's what we're used to and it's optimal for getting people's attention. This is a decision done just because we want to change something... we got a really cool chat box, why rush more things? And in all honesty, this is not a decision that improves upon anything. It's just making our topics narrower. But some of us are thinking, "Oh shut up Pasidon... it's just making everything one click away!" Well that one click is seriously degrading to my experience here. And in even more honesty, might actually make me loose interest in the community topics. Or everything outside of them... I may just bookmark the 'general discussion' category and just only check that, and only that. That would really be crummy for me. And also... now that we have a chat box, it makes me want all of the community topics back on the front page so I can use the chat and keep up with them at the same time. I'll seriously be enraged if this decision lasts a week. It is barkingly ludicrous.
