Sweet..... I know everyone else doesnt get to experience the internal beta, Im just gonna say, god damn the Moria factions is looking really good and polished now.

There's still some polishing needed as I aim for super realism as much as possible (meaning loads of natural FX such as dust, splashes, tracks, etc), but the main stuff is done basically. Some minor modeling left, then major balancing, and then we can start playtesting and fixing bugs. :) So we need to round up the beta testers soon or possibly go find new ones.

Yeah, I know Zach is still around, as for the rest...... yeah.... The nice thing is that weve reached the point where Its "Super Polishing" FX, logic, physics, etc Things like what creatures will knock trees down or not, or the turning of wargs and wolves when running or stopped. Itll be beautiful :wub:

Just a quick comment about realism, FX etc; Please go all out! I reckon most of us have a better computer today than we did when BFME was released :)

It's not about how good a computer you have, it's about the limits of the game engine. It simply cannot render a tremendous amount of FX's and high-end art without lagging.

Once again, I've been away for a few weeks... without telling you guys. :whathuh: I'm sorry for that, as I hope you understand. But every once in a while, life just smacks you in the face with a ton of bricks and you struggle to keep motivating yourself to find enery for things that should be fun. Modding IS fun, but VERY VERY VERY time consuming and when people you rely uopn keep you waiting for material that never comes - the elapsed time takes a hard toll on motivation. Especielly when IRL is a son of a b****...

1) A couple of weeks ago I found out that there will be cut backs at my job, so some of us are lossing their positions. Myself, I might be safe, if we manage to restructure some of my tasks and my schedule for each week. This remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful.

2) As if this wasn't enough, the community at home, which I'm the local "president" of, is having some legal problems with the land owner about future plans for the neighbouhood. And guess who has to manage all this... yes, yours truly! My nazgûl powers seems to have little effect IRL... lol. But I won't quit, not that - nor the mod.

3) Next item on the list is personal life, where as as always have a ton of women that are insane in the membrane. Feels like I'm dating myself through Dante's Inferno.

4) And finally, one of "my" modelers, as in mone of the fellow modeers that occasionally have been modeling for SEE, offered to help out with a rather big task of remodeling the SEE goblins. My motivation was at it's peak and he said "I can do one item per day", which would mean it would basicaly take a week or so to finish that. It's been 2-3 months now and I haven't heard anything since he apologized for the delay sometime in january. My plan was to be 101% finished with each faction before moving on to the next. But I guess I have to adjust that plan  :mellowthumbsup: 

I am a very structured man, that depends on a certain level of organization to keep functioning. But when too many things collaps at once, I do to. I should have told you though, just as he should have told me about the models not being worked on. Neverthe less, I want to remind you all that SEE is NEVER gonna be cancelled, no matter how many days, weeks, months and years that pass along the way. I WILL see this mod though, don't ever lose faith in that!  :thumbsupcool: 

That being said, I', now officially back (again) and atm I'm making sure that all INIs for Moria are equally coded. Geel will help me sort out the rest in the ToDo list and we should have Moria ready for beta testing very shortly!  :thumbsuphappy:

If you're truly willing to help, please join us in Staff Forums and I'll show you what's needed. A fortress monument structure (pillar thinghy) is one of the few items needed =)
