It's the journey not the destination :p

on the topic of slavery and social inequality: social change is pretty imminent, either through war or peaceful revolution. Internet makes it impossible to brainwash enough people in the long run.

So I guess you can add; more progressive and semi-communistic opinions about capitalism: Big banks gets taken over by the public so that the government can use the interest of loans and whatnot to invest in society(40% of all the money you make will go straight into the pocket of a banker these days, so why not just let the government have it and give you some roads for it instead of champagne bottles).

Moderation of the amount of money you as a private person can have without public/democratic control. Communists would have wanted every dollar to be under state control, but I'm a bit more realistic and would say that if you are good for more than 1000x average wage, that (surplus)money will need to be controlled by a organization\corporation where the public has a say in how you can spend that money. It also would motivate the rich people to keep a high average wage for their workers. Also, more direct democratic influence in corporations to make sure they follow the laws, even though you'd have to be careful that you're not making more time-consuming bureaucracy than necessary.

An excellent point. The perfect future would make communism more popular and a comeback with slavery. I really wish we had slaves still... why mine moon rocks when you can have your Neptune Mexicans do it while you enjoy the comforts of your comfortable capitalist laser ships?

But if stingy economics never go out of style, then no space elevator for you. In the current state of things, there are so many big industries sucking up money that not even the top 10 riches people can fund building a potty room on the moon. And why would they want to currently? Space currently has zero industrial value and profits in no way. A few very rich suckers will have to invest asteroids filled with cosmic diamonds to even turn space into a business.

Internet works unless you are in China.

I was just watching Lost in Space, and I just had to record this scene:

This sort of ties to Matty's future. The future for Space Satan in grim with crying women in his mitts. By the way... best line of all time at the end... EVER.
