No, there's no point at all in trying.

True... I mean if I had time I might have done some more modding than usual, but really, unlike previous years I don't think I'm going to make extra free time in order to mod as to get more votes in the MOTY.

I posted on the LW wall and on my facebook wall I think that'll the most I'll do.
Although if I'm lucky beta 0.999 might coincide with the motys.

I'd say we put out support behind one of our Zero Hour mods since they usually at least break the top 100 as well MERP (which is still nominated), TLD and TATW.

Yep, I'll be voting for the active Revoran Mods this time. ;p And MERP, because I like mapping Middle-earth, and don't want to cease and un-exist.

Well, atleast I voted for T4A myself, since apparently it's not a part of "our" mods :p It even has a higher rating than From Book 2 Game, and that's there!

In all seriousness, I don't care. I haven't done anything near enough to deserve a top 100 ranking, which along with FPS' getting double votes, means that it's pretty much useless. Every year.

Hey yeah, why isn't TPW part of "our mods"? :p

Updated the list.

It doesn't help that most non FPS mods never get any promotion or mention from them.
As usual HL2 is at the top of the game list as it is every year.

Judging from the current ranks of our mods none of us stand a chance.
No mod has a rating under 300.
RC Mod is our highest rated (304) followed by LW (395) and the rest are hovering between 500 and 2000.

TATW is rated 4 it would be cool to get it to number 1.

I wonder why Lord of the Rings mods for non Lord of the Rings games always do better than us.

Probably because they require more work than ours.

However, some of the mods that usually end up in the top 100 are pretty generic. It all depends on popularity of the game first and foremost, then the mod. Oblivion\Skyrim, super popular! MERP does great, even if they're shut down. BFME? Not a chance.

A little something to make you guys depressed. :p
The Half Life 2 mod Half Life Wars and Half Life mod Natural Selection are classed as RTS mods which makes 2 Half Life series mods listed on the top RTS list and only one BFME series (Edain Mod).

LW hit 16th most popular mod yesterday and today is already down to 259th popularity is a fickle thing.

Heh, I remember that at one point, TPW reached ninth most popular mod. The next hour, it went back down to about 300. Whatever, moddb. Whatever.

That HL2 news is pretty depressing, yeah. :p

So the Mod of the Year has been announced, and guess what? In the top 10, there are 4 RTS mods. True, they're all (relativly) modern war games, but still.

Company of heroes mods getting the top 10 spots that's weird.
Didn't think modding for that game was that popular.
I had in the past suggested creating a COH division maybe it's time we readdressed that.

Was I right or was I right numbers 1 and 2 Black Mesa and Dayz
