I might suggest mapping the sheath to a different part of the texture.

I would also consider desaturating the weird blue hue of the armor pieces and the golden rim of the shield.

They look good, yeah. Though I find the four-legged belt to be slightly detrimental to the overall look.

I think giving them a regular belt would look better. Something like this: http://static.skyrim...-1333263383.jpg

I see your point the belt is indeed to big ! That picture is great though i'll definetly use it for inspiration for rendering the heavy armor.

I can't really critique since I'm not a modeler or texture guy. But they do look pretty neat.

Wonderful, my suggestion is that you make the White Tree of Gondor more visible on the shields.

May I ask what you have changed on it? I cannot see what's new from EA's high-res texture :p

edit: well, apart from the fact that you removed the blue hue..

Just thought I'd put it up since I've drafted it up,
Gondor's Unit Roster:
- Gondor Swordsmen (Basic Infantry)

- Gondor Archer (Basic Archers)

- Gondor Spearmen (Basic Spearmen)

- Minas Tirith Fountain Guards (Elite Spearmen - limited to 3 battalions)

- Minas Tirith Knights (Heavy Cavalry - limited to 4 battalions)

- Ithilien Rangers (Elite Archers)

- Gondor Trebuchet (Seige Unit)

- Gondor Battering Ram ( Seige Unit)

 Inn Units:

- Knights of Dol Amroth (Heavy Cavalry- Much more Armor than the Knights)

- Peligar Spearmen ( Pikemen Unit)

What's the difference between Gondor Spearmen, Pelargir Spearmen, and Fountain Guards?

Why does Gondor need 3 different kinds of spearmen? Rohan is the only faction that focuses on horses, so I do not see the need for 3 different types of Spearmen.

And the same can be said about two different Rangers, and 3 different types of Cavalry.

Well I always thought of Gondor as Spear-Faction Gondor Spearmen are what you start of with as in early game later on you can acquire 3 Fountain Guards, and if an Inn is available than some of the Fiefdoms and Dunedain are available to you. I agree the Ithilien Cavalry is questionable so I can take them out, The Knights of Minas Tirith are Limited and so shall the Knights of Dol Amroth. So perhaps around 7 battalions of Cavalry will be be at Gondor's disposal. The Rangers well I guess you're right about them.

Well you have Basic Spearmen, Excellent Spearmen and Elite Spearmen. It's okay that you think of them as a very spear-oriented faction, but wouldn't the Basic Spearmen be obsolete when you get the Excellent Spearmen?

Why not make the Pelargir Spearmen into pikemen, or atleast have it's strong sides towards enemy cavalry. They could be made to counter Haradrim riders. Then make the Basic Spearmen the Basic Soldiers, and remove the Gondor Soldiers completely. A spear isn't neccesarily super against horsemen. So you could make the Gondor Spearmen into the Gondor Soldiers.

Just a few suggestions, I always used to add the cool stuff myself. Later on, I've started setting up a list of sorts, where I specify what role the different units have, and I've really removed some hard-to-remove troops because they because a duplicate of another unit.

I see your point, Maybe I can use the Gondor Spearmen and Gondor Swordsmen to make up the Gondor Soldiers in one horde (like the Rohan peasants).
