This is the newest iteration of Weathertop. I have a sketched diagram I am working off currently.
The areas are the actual shape of the rocky outcrops on the real hill.
I am using Fredius' shadow technique with the large cracks (A similar style to his Weathertop)

Ah yes this is an EA map. I am just editing bits here and there to make the hill more like weathertop.

What do you mean by Fredius' shadow technique? And are those trigger areas just to help you get an accurate Weathertop?

Fredius will know. I am using scorch marks for the darker areas around the rocks.

And yes the areas are there to get the accuracy spot on. I sketched a picture of Weathertop from multiple angles and outlined the rocks. I then marked out the rocks areas on Worldbuilder.

The rocks are as perfect as I can get them now. Shots are taken in Worldbuilder. Next step is placing the correct shrubberies.

This is looking really good. Especially the actual hill. Youre gonna need to work on those ruins though :thumbsupxd: I might try a different texture for the pathway going up to the summit. Something with more grass in the stonework. Im also gonna suggest the ruined pieces down where the hobbits camped should go, they arent there in the film. I think they take away from the look.

I know the ruins are going to be tough, I was able to duplicate them pretty well when I was bored one day. I didnt keep the work, it was an experiment. I trust your ability to pull this off. Its getting better every time you post a new screen.

Currently the ruins are just placeholding what I can start now - which is making them accurate. My family is borrowing the Extended Edition Boxed set so I am able to take concept art and HD screenshots of the movie.

What are we doing with BfMEII Weathertop?

Also Bilbo's stone trolls are currently being put into Great East Road - I have pictures of the set from The Lord of the Rings movie and should be able to find a good spot for them.

The Weathertop Environment pictures from NJM are in my mapping topic in the staff forum.

Units can actually go into the ruins and under the overhang where the campfire is. A player can even build something small inside of Weathertop.
