Hello all,

I want to start modding BFME, because I still find it one of the best strategy games. I used to work with FIFA games, but want to do something else.

What will you do when you've used all the pictures on that page?? I'd be interested to see what you could do with movie screens for example. From either The Hobbit or the original LotR movies. Just don't stop with simple BFME2-style portraits from one web page worth of images.

If you look at the portraits you did based on those digital paintings and compare them to the ones based on pictures, you will notice a significant difference in lighting. If I were you I would attack the picture-portraits with a dodge brush and create similar highlights to the ones based on the paintings. Right now they blend into the background too much.

The dwarf/elf portraits look like they were in BFME 2 already . Very good.

I've been out for a couple of days. I have been wondering: is there a project going about the Hobbit? I mean a BFME (1) style campaign, good and evil, and the Hobbit factions, like Dwarves, (Gundabad)Orc, Elves (maybe split in west/east), Men. So no Mordor, Isengard, Gondor, Rohan anymore.

Atm none, but there are mods which will use some hobbit movie designs, like Lone Wolf mod.

My mod (and maybe a few other mods) will just have some add-ons with Units shown in the Hobbit like the armoured Mirkwood soldiers or the (new) Rivendell Lancers and the Erebor Warriors.

Whilst nobody at the moment is making a dedicated Hobbit mod, there are many who are implementing it into their already established mods (myself not included)

Okey, then I'll start working on it. I'll start with a campaign storyline. Wouldn't it be nice when we could release a 'The Hobbit' BFME just after the third movie?
