Hey guys! I am new here to Revora forums and am interested in joining a modding team. If you are looking for someone that codes or maps, feel free to interview me for further information on my capabilities!

Alright, So here are a few pictures of maps I have made before. Nothing to has been used in a mod yet, so if you find it interesting, and would like to include it, feel free :)

1st the forest
Just a well textured map, lots of mountains and green terrain. Large size for (8) players.
Attached File  forest1.bmp   832.98KB   80 downloads

2nd is in space
The area between the stairs is black (in-game) and has red, yellow, and blue stars underneath. The black area separating the stairs is actually walkable.
Attached File  spaceland.bmp   780.43KB   73 downloads

And lastly is just another terrain map, with some water and random camps :)
Attached File  river.bmp   1.02MB   71 downloads

As for coding, I have recreated the animation code for a model that obtained all new animations. I have added spells obviously. Changed character costumes. Changed what 'upgrades' they receive at what levels. I have created new Particle Systems for FX. I have created FXlists. Added new units, helped set up AI to work with the new factions. Ive changed cah powers. I have added cah powers to normal heroes, and normal powers to cahs; although, i have never changed the cah object you can choose from in the cah selection screen(ex. Which helmet/weapon/what color etc.) When it comes to code, almost everything that is generally done. Of course there are random things that are a little harder that ive never tried, but hey, just because I haven't tried it doesn't mean I cant do it ;)

Here are a couple things I did to make Saruman a SUPER hero when I was bored :) haha

First, Saruman now has a 'blademaser' ability. When he enters it, his health doubles, armor doubles, as well as his movement speed.
Attached File  saruman.bmp   81.56KB   105 downloads

Another is I took the word of power, and changed its fx to the rain of fire explosion, but bigger.
Attached File  boom.bmp   320.38KB   93 downloads

He also has summon dead, call allies(like 20 trolls and a balrog were added to the egg spawner).

And last but not least, how's this for raw power, one hit everything ;)
Attached File  How_is_this_for_power2.bmp   1003.54KB   75 downloads

If you have any question just let me know.. Thanks guys :)

Not bad with the maps. I can see that there is some excellent thought for realism. :) A place for improvement is your transitions between areas (ford to grass, river to grass, and camp-site to grass). Forest I can only one tree variation - I think it is best to find a couple the suit the map.

Post in the Worldbuilder Forum if:

  • you want some more tips for your maps
  • you would like to show us some work in progress
  • or you have some tips that you would like to share

As a mapper myself I would like to see more of your work. :)

I say you are fit for our mod .Mainly we lack maps , and I see a big talent there ( and if you say you know  to work with scripts it's perfect ). Secondly we need someone to make powers for our units in the mod ( and some extra coding aswell ).

If you are interested in joining our mod , give me or Ridder Geel a PM.

IF you are interested what our mod does and what we had achieved until now , browse our sub-forum or visit our moddb page http://www.moddb.com/mods/rc-mod .

I agree with MtL good maps, The Horse Lords will need a mapper, but not as yet. When we are I'll post up in the Hosting Services, I'm sure you would like to join :). My main needs in mapping though is Campaign Scripting but I think you've said you can do that.

RiderofRohan, I would love to help, I have taken on a few projects so I won't be able to devote all my time, but if you need a little extra help I am down for that :)
