As before in my old mapping (and unorganised  topic. I don't think my City of the Dead should be in SEE. So I am heavily editing the original EA Paths of the Dead to have more detail. Most of the work will be in creating the New Zealand Pinnacles and the actual town on the other side of the ravine. And I need to make sure that players can access the signal fire next to the capital building.

What is this, the fifth Paths of the Dead topic by you? Looks good, though.

It should only be the first topic. I accidentally posted a topic in the wrong forum, hopefully it is deleted now. ;p But it will be my second attempt at making a home for the Dead Men of Dunharrow. (First was a City of the Dead, by me and EA Paths of the Dead edit).

Good edits or not?

I made the area around the citadel walkable. And taking inspiration from Petra and the New Zealand Pinnacles I have finally finished. (This section took me about two hours of constant tinkering to perfect and possibly another four hours spent in times before getting it wrong.)

I think all there is now is to make the city part on the other side of the paths. It will be accessible in a reasonable mirror image of the citadel side, and also have  a signal fire, I will be trying to keep the mirror map-ness of the vanilla map.

Nyugh, I  don't really like the cave bottom. It looks kind of cheesy, really, in my opinion, rather cartoonish maybe.

Cave floor? With all the mist?

Edit: I added a space between the two pictures.

I think he's talking about the second picture, the one with the huge spikey rocks. They are just kinda...not realistic? A bit too rounded to really look like rocks? The top picture is great, though.

Hmmmm, okay. Gumble grumble. More work to do then. I need to study what rocks actually look like then (I guessed and assumed with their shape, it was hard enough to get the right amount and perfect height.). So much more to do!!!

;p ;p ;p

I really need to go to New Zealand, but I can only go next year. ;p

I personally would obscure them heavily with the MordorClouds object, then it'd be more 'deep'-looking.

Stalactites have to hang on tight to the ceiling.

Stalagmites, when they grow up might join and become columns.

This is neither. ;p

They are not inside the cave. I still need to work on the lighting as well. There is actually a single cloud texture that I can edit.

The section of the map is before the company goes through the door. Filmed at the location below. Maybe I posted too soon. But after many hours of work I was happy that I had actually gotten somewhere. ;p

They will be fixed and thanks guys for the suggestions. A few will be keeping their conical shapes, but I want to try some other shapes

City of the Dead is inspired by this place. Petra.

And I am talking about this is the place that possibly inspired WETA when they made the bigatures of City of the Dead.

More stuff with new models.

NJM - I would like to replace my old City of the Dead and the edited Paths of the Dead with this map when it is complete.

The blob of the dead - a mythical mushroom, which, when approached, explodes, releasing a cloud of poisonous gas.

Really, I don't know.

No problem, just let me know when its complete.

Lovely new objects btw, I assume the cliff path is intended to be walkable? The bfme original map had the path but it was in texture only.
