Im not really sure if I am doing it right, I opened it up in FinalBig. data/ini/gamedata.ini. I have the 1.07 patch installed?

Hm.. Are you sure the changes you made are getting saved? That's one of the first things you need to check...

Also when editing the gamedata.ini, you should make sure that there is no file (perhaps a patch .big) that is changing the gamedata.ini that might possibly be causing it to be overwritten.

Although I do think you are editing the correct code lines, but I'd have to check that to make sure later..

Hi, thanks for the response. I do have v1.07 installed but I can't see any patch.ini if you manage to find the solution I would be most pleased. I save it by just clicking save on finalbig and if i close, open and reload the ini.big file my edited values are still there. Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Patch 1.06 is the latest official patch by EA.

The 1.07 is an unofficial one, so it might work in a different way, and use the -mod command. If it does, you'll have to find it's .big file and change the values there.

How do I use the -mod command is it at the end of each line. Or is it something a bit more technical. If this doesn't work is it possible to re install a previous patch or is a full re install required?

haha all I wanted was to have a ini.big file when I occasionally wanted to do a skirmish in a sandbox type mode.

Well there must be a _patch#.big file.. Otherwise I'd start doubting if you have some of the official patches... :p

What .BIG files are in your game's directory?
