I would like to have a hosting slot for my mod on revora.

Currently I am waiting for ModDB authorisation for my mod to be hosted there.

You can also visit  my website www.warofthevalar.net to see information as to what is going to be my mod so far. :)

I will upload a few screen shots in a couple days.

Thanks guys :)

Edit: Also, I already have an svn setup for whoever would like to join.

I just looked at your concept gallery and I must say that the Balrog concept is one of the most badass thing I have ever seen in my entire life O_O.

Just Note the maker of this image intended it to be Gothmog :Leader of the Balrogs, also the actual shape of the Balrogs is unclear as well. Only known as Wreathed in Shadow and Flame .... but I really like the Idea of your mod, If given enough time it would be incredible !

I agree with the above. - Some of the names of the units seem a little off in my opinion e.g: Eagle Rider. But other then those minor things all looks quite good.

You will have to show a lot more work in order to gain hosting most likely. Concepts and a single map screenshot plus a barracks from a well known modeler wont get you hosting.

Do you have a plan on how you will create the mod?

Devotion?

At least 3 people on your team?

These are some points in which you should probably organize your skills and or thoughts to be able to gain hosting.

Someone please correct me if i am wrong? :p

I have a the means and plans on where to start for the mod atleast. Those names are obviously not final, but I just feel like a needed a base to work off, so that's what I am at. I have a few IRL people working on this with me. I stated at the bottom of my post I will be posting screen shots in the next couple days so you guys can see some progress. :)

I have my SVN setup, and have started coding a few untis, but need a little help with models. I can create the shapes and all, but when animation and skinning comes into it, I'm a little handicap, so I'm on my search for a modeller. :)

But that will come, I have plenty of character templates to make.

If anyone would be interested in helping, I would appreciate the help, ESSPECIALLY modeling. I'll be posting updates of progress in here.

Thanks again guys :)

We will need to see much more progress, and motivation from you (and anyone else that joins your team), that way we know that you will continue your project.

We want to see projects succeed, so the rules on accepting hosting requests are at a relatively higher standard than a long time ago :)

But keep up the good work, and keep us up to date, and then perhaps in the near future you might get hosted :D

... well known modeler ...

Oh, Apollo, you know how to make people glow!

Though Zezkersar, I might add that you should clarify the concept art is not your own (and preferably ask the owner for its usage).

I am perplexed at the format of this mod: you've got yourself Eldar and Khazad-Dum as factions, from the First Age, then suddenly Numenoreans as well. And... a Neutral faction? Not only that, you're planning on making a shedload of scratch factions. We've all been there before, but it's rarely gone the way we planned it to. Just bear in mind creating one working faction is difficult enough, if you pile loads of work on then find little bits don't work, you're bound to become completely demotivated.

You should spend some time refining down your ideas into a more focused and streamlined mod.

Oh, Apollo, you know how to make people glow!

Its true though. your amazing at it. :D

As for everything else stated above i agree.

Start with a single Faction like Eldar and complete them one at a time. Its a huge commitment to want to do 4-6 factions. It will probably take you at least a year to get the general ideas coded in and then probably another year or 2 to beta test and get rid of bugs and then there is the whole balancing issue plus team issue.

Focus on ONE faction then once that is complete try doing another one. :p

Just remember guys, this is all just ideas for right now ;) And Fellbeast, the 'Neutral' faction isn't a faction. It is just extra necassary things we will need, that dont fit into a faction. :) And thank you again for the model, Right now i've just been coding placeholders for the eldar faction. I will probably work on getting a few renders for you guys. :)

There y'all are, finished product. Sorry about the mismapping on the buttresses, that's just something my renderer messed up. It's fixed on the actual model.

You should try to use high quality textures already in the BFME 2 to texture your stuff to make your textures pop (or at least that is what i do :p) In this case the Rivendell Lancers and Elrond could serve as inspiration, being High Elves i believe.
