My review on the newest animation from disney called Wreck it Ralph:  ive watched it in theaters and ill say the animators actually did a good job on paying attention, looks colorful, and imaginative for a movie based on a video game this is how its supposed to be like.  Not like all of the crappy live action ones like Resident Evil or the Tomb Raider series. :flame:

the story goes that the video game fix it felix jr. is celebreating its 30 years of being in a same arcade where Wreck it Ralph is, but gets dissapointed for doing the same job for that long and no one seems to like you for doing it.  so to prove everyone wrong that he can be a good guy, he goes on a hilarious game jumping trip that leads him more trouble then he bargins for.

my pros and cons

Pros:  got to see a lot of cameos from other arcade games from Q*BERT to Dr. Eggman and Bowser so anyone gamer or not can enjoy this and gamers can feel great being in their own skin for once

my only con was that the ending and the villian was a bit underwhelming to me.

I would recommend anyone who is gamer or not to at least see it

Thank you for reading my review,

Abrams Tank

Ooo, a review.  We need more of these.

But let me say what you're not saying... I didn't see the movie, but I've seen enough of it to judge it.  The old gaming icons are really fun to see, and that's what the movie appealed to... gamers.  Or does it? No.  The writers are not people who have nostalgia for games.  How do I know?  Well... there did something blasphemous.  A terrible decision.  They hired stage actors to do the voices.  Guhhh... There are so many great game voice actors that could have taken advantage of.  Not really happy about that... this movie was just a cash in since the characters and situations appealed to older gamers, but the writing and presence is void as the night.

And it's Dr. Robotnic, not Eggman.  Sonic fans might throw toasters at you for that mistake.  If they called him Eggman in the movie, then everything I said is true.

IMHO tt's an enjoyable movie. It's not a Pixar, but it's quite fun - what makes us think why the hell Disney is with a new animation studios.

kudos to Pasidon for this awesome avvy and siggy!

Because Pixar hates Disney.  If you have a Blu Ray Pixar movie, it should have a special feature called 'The Pixar Story.'  It's a really good documentary of Pixar and how Disney completely screwed them over with a contract written in sin itself.  Really sad story... made me tear up a bit.  Not proud of myself.

Pixar should return to Lucas. OH WAIT. Disney brought that too... Didn't they?

GIVE ME PIXAR and I'll give you awesome movies.

Give you Pixar, and we'll never un-Brazil'atize animation for the next 5000 years.

I usually say ignore Pasidon as well, but he be 100% right.  Don't use stage actors in a genre that supports gaming voice actors.

Why not? It's also pretty good.

In fact, I find the all-CGI animated films to be generally of better quality than the majority of live-action films, with or without CGI assistance of the current generation.

F'rinstance, I'd sooner watch Rio or Wreck-it-Ralph or, best of all, Brave, than the Hunger Games or Django Unchained (although, admittedly, I hold a deep-seated prejudice against Tarantino and will freely admit that Django was his best film so far). They just seem to me to be better in more or less every way.

Animation means you have to plan every single step of the movie, which usually means a lot more work but a much better product too.

Haven't seen jango yet, but i thought hunger games was okay, better that the kids watch that than twilight imo.

I'm hoping we'll see more CGI revolutions the next decade with animated movies meant for a more grown-up crowd as well. We can see that the tech is in place with two souls / heavy rain / last of us, And we had that Tintin movie last year I've yet to see as well. So things might get interesting.

Tintin was awesome. But the lack of the original soundtrack was a big downer for me and they changed the original story. So yeah. It was a cool movie but it did lack verisimilitude.

I don't know if you guys follow, but Blender Foundation's movies are usually for a grown up audiency.

Grown ups?  I hate those guys... I really do hate it when something just does everything in its power to not look like a kid's movie.  Grown-ups are just jealous of how awesome kid movies are.

Proper Citizen Remark: Yes Gen.Kenobi.  I agree.  What you said is a correct statement.  (generic smiley face)

Cuz this forum would be as active as a Self-Injury Awareness Day Parade, and as intelligent as a bowl of bricks.  Sorry Ashy, I'll make myself a better individual and post how you need me too, and I'll immediately remedy my previous post with a 'proper forum citizen' remark.  Merry Christmas.
