My mate and I have both taken up playing this mod and were having some fun playing the game lan. I honestly can't actually figure out how to beat goblins/orcs though, with Goblins they actually cost so they need a little build up time, but with the orcs he just makes the orc spawning building and just spam as many as he can before proceeding to spit out as many of the free orcs as possible. When I'm using the elves I find the elven archers cost 200 each so I can only make 2 or so per 1 of his buildings. I just can't keep up with the pure cost of keeping an army that is large enough to hold back as many orcs as he is spawning with all of his new resources going into making more buildings and mine keeping the same army I had before, which in turns means I get over run fairly quickly due to the non stop stream of orcs. I was wondering how others dealt with this problem? I've been told again and again that the mod is balanced so I'm guessing I've overlooked something along the way. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Well there is something that I think the developers of this mod never thought of!

I haven't played RJ Mordor or Goblins in a while, and your English is difficult to follow. I think this is what you are saying.

Your mate builds lots of orc pits and makes lots of free orcs. He only spends money on more buildings, instead of upgrading or building different types of units. You get overrun with lots of orcs.

To balance your multi-player matches you could make a rule so a player can only make 5 orc pits.

Yea that's it. All he actually builds is the basic orc spawning building and the mill I think it is (resource building for Mordor). He ends up spending all of his time doing this until he has 1000+ cp of free orcs respawning as fast as I can kill them.

1. The mod is not perfectly balanced, though in general I think it's pretty good.

2. Build more cavalry and archers, and try to keep your units alive!  A statue and a well will go a long way.  If your units level up a few times they will get much, much harder to kill, and if you upgrade them the free orcs will become basically meaningless.  A smallers, elite army will almost always beat a massive amount of free units.
