I'm about to tell you about the world of YR modding.

 

The Anti NPatch Protest was started by Nighthawk. Here's his story.

 

"If any of you have been around the Renegade Projects forums in the last days of the RockPatch, and around the first announcement of this horrible creation, then you will know my views on the NPatch. Honestly, I haven't shut up about it.

This mod is, and always will be, NPatch free. Do not use this mod with the NPatch. For one, it won't work. Secondly, I will ignore you. Use the recommended version of the RockPatch for each version. I will bundle the recommended version with each release, regardless of whose blacklist I'm on, and regardless of what VK thinks."

I could be wrong, but aint that protest a bit old and quite unnecessary to be brought to the attention? Everyone has personal tastes and has preferency about this or that "Patch". Maybe there was a fight betwen him and the NPatch authors, who knows what the past holds? Just let it be behind you and you'll be fine. And, I think you know already, but in the past Revora was the paradise for E-dramas of all sorts, so yeah, you can figure what might have happened or might not.

NPatch is dead, has been for a long time. No damn need to protest something that isn't being actively developed or promoted anymore. VK's attitude problems or such do not apply anymore either.

Here's his story

I think I'll make it a new Guild rule that members are not allowed to tell "my story".

 

That was several years ago now, and was in regard to some questionable practices being undertaken with respect to NPatch's development and the developer's attitude to the community. Given that NPatch has long since disappeared and been superseded by other projects, my dispute is null and void, therefore so is this discussion.
