I'll post the smaller updates here, stuff like teaser images and so on.

To start things off and to kick off things for the Deep: Azog.

Render of the newly remade Gondor Training Ground.

Apparently I still post renders every so often.

I really like that barracks structure, though I feel you could do it more justice if you rendered it nicely in max.

Technically, we have no idea how the Erebor military is looking like durin the War of the Ring. The WETA design is about 210 years old by then.

It's impractical for all of Erebor's army to be armoured like that, would you armour an Archer in heavy plate metal?

Erebor's regular infantry are going to use the stripped down version of the armour as seen above.

The heavy infantry (Guild Warriors, Old Guard etc) will have the full versions.

It's more than just the weight though, an armour like that would make archery difficult, the helmet would restrict vision and the chest and pauldrons would limit arm movement.

Yes, I tried archery and it would be very difficult with any armour. ;p

Dunland update.

Halbar leader of the Wildmen WIP.

I had originally planned on making the Dunlending chief from Two Towers this guy but instead went with something different.
The Celtic influence is obvious with this hero in particular with his skin painted with Woad and heather paints.

To go back on this discussion, let's not forget about Gondor Archers ;). Also I believe you gave Erebor crossbowmen, which doesn't really require as much arm movement as archers. But I'm okay with your idea of stripped down versions.

Dol Guldur Etten.

Basically he's the updated form of my old Lesser Trolls.

(maybe I shouldn't save them as JPGs any more the renders always come out looking a bit fuzzy).
