Revora has now opened a Subreddit, at r/Revora, where project leaders and followers can post questions and updates about modding, indie development and personal creative projects, indeed anything Revora-related, quickly and easily, for the entire community to see more clearly than in long threads. Any single or multiple announcements, releases or smaller news posts can be posted here for better communal visibility. All you need is a Reddit account, for which you needn't even submit an email address, so it is fluid and fast. Keep to the Revora and Reddit guidelines, but enjoy yourself!

@Rad, no, the point is for mod leaders to post, rather like Twitter, shorter news articles about single things, quite often, as opposed to every once in a while throwing out a long news post. So, constant updates instead of waiting for large ones.

That's what Facebook,twitter, moddb and forums and even websites already do.

It's not good to spread out so much out over so many different sites when we are trying to encourage activity (and ad clicks) here.

For me sites like Reddit are competitors to forums.

There is no demand for a Reddit page from amongst our members, so why make one?

For the Facebook and Twitter Revora pages, a moderator has to post specifically labelled posts containing often a lot of information, which is easily missed by our page's followers in their news feeds. However, say Radspakr (for example) wanted to post a single bit of news regarding a single post in a thread, he can easily do so on Reddit, and he then decides what is important to show the community from his perspective, and with the voting system on Reddit, the community can simply upvote or downvote that, so he knows what he's doing wrong. Also, to use Rad again, on his Facebook page, he can post any little progress statuses he wishes to, rather than having to make an entire post's worth of text in order to say it. That also means, he needn't wait for opportune times to post, but instead can do so immediately without hesitation.

Not sure if that's entirely coherent, but I'm a little hyperactive right now.

I think we don't need reddit if we have a forum and facebook and moddb and twitter and websites.

News is more likely to reach people if it's in 1 or 2 places and if people wanted shorter more frequent news from me they'd follow my twitter account.

Why would it? It's not likely we are going to pull people in from Reddit.

More importantly, it's not like we're going to loose people.  If Fell wants to get all this set up and manage it, we are literally loosing nothing for doing so and increasing our range of appeal.  It may not seem like much since we are barely appealing, but at least it's something.

Agreed. I frequently see readers on the reddit. Might not be POPULAR but it could pull in more people eventually. So, just sit tight and we will see where it takes us! (plus i would hate to see my css go to waste XD)

I like Reddit, but having a dedicated subreddit would be something you would probably make after you were pretty well established. That being said, Reddit would still be a good place to get the word out about your network nonetheless, provided you post it in already well established subreddits that are related to your overall scope here and ask the community here to upvote those posts to help bring it to the top of said subreddit. The higher it is in said subreddit, the more people see it. The more people see it, the more possible visits. The more possible visits, the more ad clicks....etc.... You get the picture.

Honestly, it fell into utter disuse after OmegaBolt's first post. You make a good point, but I honestly doubt its implementation.
