Oh, you live in friggin' Rio de Janeiro?  Must be neat to have a world wonder on your back porch.  But I've heard some pretty bad stuff around there.  Like crime is pretty bad in some areas of the city.

Yea, it's cool to have a wonder nearby. The view can be quite inspiring. Regarding crime, yes it can be bad on certain parts of the city that you'll never go to, because you are not insane or drug addicted. For most of the places of the city, specially the touristic ones, it's pretty much bearable. It may happen things once in a while, but you really need some bad luck to something happen to you.

I use only the purest of Civilization 5 contexts.

And that's quite a good summary of the crime status.  I had a few friends who went down there, and they acted like they almost got decapitated, or something.  Even CSI Miami had a bad representation, like every ally way had a crime lord or a drug deal going on.  But I would like to take a visit.  I would just need to tolerate the heat way down there... good lord.  I can barely handle 60 degrees.

The world what now?  That like some sort of mystic goblet that shoots fire balls?

It might as well be. It would be just as interesting for two months.

Yea and the final match will happen here. I'm trying to buy a damn ticket for it every day, but I just can't. Anyway, there is a FIFA Fan Fest near my home. The district that I live is saturated, totally crowded because of that. It's being fun, but this excessive saturation may affect natives in a bad way (such as supermarket and banks with long waiting lines, crazy traffic jam, completely crowded subway system, etc). It's being like a second carnival, just a bit more crowded than a common carnival. But the streets are fun and quite happy, full of tourists and crazy people.

The vast majority are from Argentina, followed by Chile, Great Britain and few other countries. I haven't seen many orange guys, to be honest.

You should be on the look-out for famous folks.  I know Triumph the Comic Insult Dog was there a short while ago, so there are bound to be others.

It's complicated. I live in a small and very populational dense district. It's kinda hard to find out this kind of people in a place with hundreds of thousands of people.

Oh, true. I don't really think of that.  I haven't been in that many big cities.  Like when I went to London,  I expected to find Ricky Gervais to just be walking down the street, or something.

Norfolk ;)

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Here are some of pictures of my home town. Mersin. it is a crowded and chaotic city in my opinion. but there are really nice ancient places from ancient roman empire. Quite nice to go there and camp for a whole month in the summer !
