Well I can say that we WOULD probably be hostile

I don't think they would be hostile in the begigning, I mean... They should have some sort of NASA over there to do some shitty exploration. When they find out about us, they'd send a robot. Once we destroyed that robot they would be pissed of us or afraid of us.
Or they could skip the robot part and send a bunch of "The Right Stuff" guys over here
