Gondor Archers Running Cheering and shooting are WIP. So is the retreat function(A WIP) (Skirmish to test out, no worries this won't be the Osgiliath in the campaign.) , your enemies in large cities / towns / castles, like Edoras, Minas Tirith, Helms Deep, Osgiliath, Black Gate, Isengard are gonna be retreating in these, and you'll be able to hunt em down!

Planning to increase the CPL I remember the original intent of BFME was to be a bit more Total Warish like the back of the box art.

Planning to increase the CPL I remember the original intent of BFME was to be a bit more Total Warish like the back of the box art.

That would only make everyone lag(I got IMO a very good PC, and if I put the command points on, like 7000-8000 I start lagging there yet for a skirmish map that would be way too much), the armies will be prespawned for evil in siege missions (Not too many( On Minas Tirith, it's 4 siege towers, 6 catapults, 10 hordes of Mordor Fighters, 4 mordor archer hordes, 1 grond), but you will still have your LM army, and ofc same will happen with good, but still so you can have battles like, on the box as you just said)... Also in Skirmish the Command Points in 1v1 are - 1200 (GOOD) - 1400 (EVIL). Keep in mind the horde numbers has also been increased and balanced out too  :p

 

 

PS: Only Campaign got 800 Command Points. To not rush thro every map.

Total War has a 2000-2500 unit limit as far as I can remember, So the 7000-8000 limit would of course lag. But the 1200 and 1400 is good too.

Well, if you think about Mordor Archer and Fighter Hordes got 20 units, Gondor Soldiers and Archers are 10 in per battalion.

 

Balance:

20 Mordor Fighters are as good as 10 Gondor soldiers ( Just for notes :I)

Mordor Fighter Update:

 

Today, I figured some of my animations didn't look like the E3 demo, so I decided to improve them a bit, Running, Cheering, Taunting, Attacking, Deaths, Idles. I'll show them off in Osgiliath when they look like the E3 demo

 

Their HP has been reduced so a gondor battalion of 10 soldiers can kill a horde of 20 orcs. so 1 soldier kills around 2 and a half orc

Sounds good. Maybe its just me "the average gamer" but I dont as easily notice your changes In the videos. The guys around here whove fiddled with them themselves surely do. I think for me its the grande showcases that take away from it all. You have these massive battles and some of your details are getting lost with so much on screen action.

Sorry for being a bit "Unactive" on this Topic, lately I've been rebinding the mordor archers, fighters and gondor archers + redoing Mordor archer shooting, gondor archer animation SET and Mordor Fighter Animation set.

 

But here are my ideas on the Good Minas Tirith (I'll try to balance the CP's to reduce lag), this will be shown in the next vid i put up on here

*Minas Tirith Good: Is nearly done (I am still doing a few scripts)

*Osgiliath Good: WIP

*Mordor Fighter Animation Set Done!

*Mordor Archer Animation Set, being redone

*Gondor Archer Animation Set, being redone

*Gondor Ranger, new skin for more randomization, and new animations (since the last video)

*New Attack range for melee units, more intense fighting. And a bit of geo edit.(Not shown in the video)

I think he means units going inside units when they pass through them.

Alright, perhaps I didn't explain myself enough.

 

Let's start off simply, the "No Collision" 

 

- It only happens when the units are running, which means no more Hordes just waiting and waiting, to swarm into a castle for an example. And of course units are able to walk through each other, which should speed up the Game-play.

 

- The geometry radius is still there and such, which makes the Total War Feature available.

 

"Total War Stylish" Battlefield.

 

- The Infantry and some of the Archery, In melee, are gonna be able to sorta group up on Hordes, Battalions and Buildings, Basically everything ATTACK-ABLE. Instead of having these big spaces between the units.

 

- They're not gonna move into a circle(Usually big and dumb looking..) when you move them together, which works perfectly for trying to make the battle look devastating, example, on the new Minas Tirith video there is a Video Example, of what I am talking about. This feature should fit very well for massive Living World Battles.

That makes little sense when you said yourself you wanted realism in your mod :p
The total war style is acceptable if done properly though XP.
I'm just being honest with you on my thoughts.

Nah I am going to implement most of the demo stuff, either one way or another, if it doesnt fit i might change it a bit :p
