Hello, my name is Athieric, I recently was introduced to T3A through a friend. I am a mapper, primarily bfme 1 (though I have mapped bfme 2 and rotwk in the past) and I still enjoy mapping for and playing the series. Well I wouldn't want to be pretentious so I uploaded one of my more recent maps, it is my first one in about a year, but its not too shabby Here is the link if you would like to check it out - http://www.the3rdage...tem-765?addview

I had a look at the map and it looks good.
A few things to look at though, the map has no border which gives an ugly hard edge to the map, if you are going to use Rohan structures like the Armory you should make them unselectable so you can't see units you can't build.
But I wouldn't use those buildings especially close to bases because it makes things confusing for the player.
Good start though.
If you really want to get back into and learn mapping send me a PM.

1. Open you're map in worldbuilder.
New -> Resize // add border size 10
Then make sure to put your "texture swatch" outside the actual map.
2. You could turn overlight x2 off under (Edit > Global lightning) and put a mood into it (Dawn, or night) that way your map will stand-out more.

I think it's really quite good. And don't be shy about uploading more maps, it's always nice to see some new talent, especially these days!
I agree with Rad in that you should set all those non-player rohan buildings to the civilian team, but i don't think they're too confusing or anything. You've placed them in a way that they obviously don't belong to any rohan players that might have control of that outpost/castle.
There's quite a few untextured tiles floating around though, just use the paint bucket (shift+click) to replace the grey textures with one of your ground textures.
And i'd maybe consider using a different grass type, one that doesn't stand out so much. Again, pretty easy to replace them with ctrl+m to select all of them, then edit>replace and pick a different shrub.

Wow, thanks for all the support! I am currently doing most of the suggested edits and bug fixes, a more playable version should be ready soon.

Hey if also talking about a 2v2 map, would you like to check this? http://bfme2.heaveng...php?fileid=1048
This is a 2v2 map made by me 1 or 2 months ago - it haves an oasis in the centre and quite interesting for a dessert map...
It isn't my best map but it's playable I think .
