I present a new mirror map, sourced from The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey and Hobbit folklore.

On the large map of Middle-earth it is called the Long Marshes, but using pictures from the new movie and merging it with what we know about the Marsh of Tode from the poem The Mewlips, I have created this. But I am deciding whether a frozen marsh or a watery marsh look better.

I think unfrozen. And where in Middle-Earth is the Long Marsh?
And looking great, of course :)

Looks cool, marshlands are tricky to make.

Any more shots of this one?

Looks marvellous and I personally prefer the unfrozen marsh.

Yep, I'll get round to it after I write 300 more words on my essay. Thanks for the input. ;D

Beforehand the water was either glitched or too shallow for a water shader - so it didn't have any in the picture.

I am afraid I cannot fix the texture issues. Because I painted the terrain before I mirrored it there are some weird glitches. Trying to fix it made it worse.

So I will release this map to the public and start anew (textures only).
