Can you give me a link to the changelog?

edit: nevermind, I found it. It's big. Balance changes are completely useless from SEE's point of view, so I don't see any reason for SEE to base itself on 1.07. The gameplay is terribly slow, so it requires a different balance theme. Bugfixes are already a part of the mod via normal fixes or alterations to vanilla stuff, with the exception of game-engine bugs.

What is it exactly that you want from 1.07 in SEE?

SEE mod building of units is terribly slow and I had that save bug again that it doesn't load my game after hours of building in skirmish. So I am done with the SEE 4.5 mod now.

Vanilla stuff? Don't know that that is.

I didn't have anything particular in mind I just thought that patch 1.07 could be the base of a mod. With patch 1.07 I think the game runs and builds a lot better as with SEE. Also it looks like it runs smoother as FPS is concerned. And I run the game with FXAA on and 32 x CSAA and 8x supersampling. It is only that I missed wall FX with al factions that I returned to SEE. I don't like building a wall that I can't protect with arrows and catapults and SEE has this. I will be searching for another mod that is up to date and I can use with patch 1.07.

You know what, I'll come back in 5 or 6 years and have a look on the status of the SEE CU mod.

You'll need to be more precise. What are the things from the changelog in 1.07 that you want in SEE? "Base the mod of 1.07" is a very simple statement. All balance changes will be neglected because SEE makes changes to all factions and thus has to rebalance from scratch. Bug fixes will still get fixes as well as can be done, Naz won't leave bugs in there just for fun.

Regarding framerate, I don't understand what you're getting at. Does the vanilla game (ie, un-modded) game run worse than SEE and 1.07? Does 1.07 run better than vanilla? Does 1.07 run better than SEE? Does SEE run more smooth than vanilla?

I still cannot see what reason you have for wanting the mod to be based on 1.07. Are you aware of the amount of work it would take to change the "mod's base"? You can't buy a Ford and say that it's okay but you want it to be more like a Ferrari. Not without specifying exactly what you're referring to. You want a faster car? By which means? Bigger engine? Lighter weight? Better aerodynamics?

You seem to forget that SEE is, in reality, a total conversion of the vanilla BFME2. Community patches will not do it any good, with the exception for specific things that they improved upon for vanilla that SEE could use.

I feel like I am repeating myself as well. I also feel like Hulk just wants to show off his specifications and troll. We are not going to merge one mod with another mod. Both mods are very different and they are not as easy as joining The Dwarf Holds and The Elven Alliance, Community Edition together.

Check out the topic for the status of maps that have been added, adjusted, and created specially for this mod.

I am sorry but I can’t name anything precise because I am not a frequent player of BFME2. I just thought it would be a good base of a mod. But you straighten me out that it won’t do any good. You won’t hear me about it anymore.

When a game runs smoother you have more FPS, so when I say with patch 1.07 the game runs smoother I mean I get 30 fps all the time and with SEE it drops to 20-22 sometimes.

So again I am sorry if I brought this topic up I thought SEE would benefit from it. Clearly I am wrong.

Well your feelings are incorrect because I have nothing to show off and I am not here to troll. I just brought up a topic up that some of you "techi" guys don't like clearly. I thought Valeru might find it a nice idea. Well I am sorry but I am not a programmer or a very frequent BFME2 player. I saw patch 1.07 and thought wow that could be a nice base for the SEE mod. Clearly, I am dead wrong, but don't say I want to show of or troll because that is not the case (I can assure you of that).

The SEE mod is grealy outdated, so I am just going to look for something else. So I am sorry but that is not trolling that is just saying what many others think. So close the thread or whatever, I am sorry I won't bring these topics up again.

When a game runs smoother you have more FPS, so when I say with patch 1.07 the game runs smoother I mean I get 30 fps all the time and with SEE it drops to 20-22 sometimes.

That's because SEE added a ton of new FXs and new, more detailed models and textures for all units and heroes in-game. I've told Naz to keep this in mind before, but he doesn't really listen on that part. He needs super-quality :p Nothing from 1.07 could fix the framerate.

You're always free to suggest things, but you should always think it through first. 1.07 might be great, but it doesn't neccesarily make SEE better. SEE has already been started from scratch again, so it's too late to redo it again for 1.07 features. It's just too much work and too little gain. And what would happen if a 1.08 came out? Restart again? SEE wouldn't benefit from 1.07, simple as. Combining a great 1.07 and a great SEE doesn't neccesarily make it super-great.

I have tested 1.07 myself with Forshire's BFME2 All-In-One Patch Installer & Switcher and the old and new SEE worked perfectly. There is no problem. ;p

1.07 + All in One patch = 1.06 so there is nothing special about that.

Yeah, very silly :wink_new: . What I am saying is if you use that patcher you turn your BFME2 into patch 1.06 and we all know that works with SEE. And my question was will SEE work with version 1.07 and because I have been told (so gently) "no" it won't work and also it will never work because of so many reasons, I can't see any benefit of using the BFME2 Special Edition with that patchswitcher and SEE. Patch 1.07 is gone if you use the patchswitcher and so you might as well use the normal version and patch it to 1.06.

BFME2 1.07 works great and fast, so I only need to find a mod that let's me build upgrades to the walls for all factions and I am set. And because patch 1.07 doesn't work with SEE (for all the reasons mentioned here in this thread by others) I have to search for an other mod

Patch 1.08 has been live for more then a year now. Haven't tried it because I quit the game due to lack of any good progress in any mod I could find: http://www.gamerepla...ve-t937340.html

It's funny we are now 2 years later and still no sign of a SEE mod that is final! Maybe when I am 65 in 30 years. :evgr:

Game recommendation for Hulkster: No Mans Sky, the game that was rushed and lacked features. =p

But if you want to get back to a quality game of The Battle for Middle-earth II should try the HD Edition.

the creation of a new game takes shorter then this SEE mod, let's be honest, but I appreciate your response Matt! :thumbsuphappy:

I don't play games anymore, I don't have time to play them and I was never a real LOTR fan anyway, I liked the game though. Thank you for the link, but I only care for my freaks (fans) and my peaks(guns) nowadays! :themenace:

Well, a new game takes shorter because a team of professionals work on it every day for a long time. Unfortunately, they often have to clock in overtime too. And there's cases where people don't even get paid for longer periods. SEE however, is not done by a team of professionals, and is not worked on every day. In fact, it's worked on in peoples free-time, and not in work hours, unlike professional games. People have real jobs in addition to that.

So, if SEE is ever completed, it will take time.

By that time those at the top will force you by law to have a chip in your head or you cannot be a citizen and encourage others to snitch on you. It will start with prisoners and drunk drivers in lieu of jail time then they will roll it out to all citizens using manipulation and mind control (soft).  Look up Agenda 2030 we are closer then you think and there is lots of patents and documentations of it freely available.   When we get this mod done it will be like playing your grandpa's old Victrola and if we elect the wrong sort of people likely illegal to do since your not "one" and "diverse" enough.  http://www.city-data...player-pic1.jpg
