Apparently some people cannot use common sense and abused the fact that there is no hard limit for nickname registration yet (will be added very soon!). The maximum allowed is 5 nicknames per user. If you register more, they will be deleted. If you just go on squatting and registering as many nicknames as possible, you will be banned.

why even allow that? Nice feature and all, but does it serve a purpose?

one nickname per email seems right, unless its some other aspect I'm not considering.

Your not considering clanwars and that people might join a new clan some time and therefore need a new nickname. I'd even say raise it up a little bit. Also I'd like different nicknames because I'm known as Echo on Revora, and as Pallando on Gamereplays and that's why I prefer having the possibility to create a few nicknames. EA's limit was 40 and I think they made the limit high for a reason. Though I think 40 would be too much for such a small community, I think 10-20 seems alright.

We (Admin types) can change usernames but generally it's best to stick with one name when in a community and to pick one that won't be taken by someone else.

The problem appears when people 'reserve' nicks for fun. I don't see why people need more than 1 nick, with the exception being when people have different nicks on different sites. I believe that people should see "Lauri" online and instantly know that "oh, that's him. He's a terrible player, better not team up!" or "Oh he's good, gotta test myself against him again."

Of course, that's only my personal view. I don't mind having a limit or not, I just like to keep nicks unique.
