I'm creating a mod for personal use, I'm playing it with my 2 friends of mine. Using two copies of a mod, is there a way to make a faction available for a copy and not for the other, but using the mod online?

Example:

COPY 1 ---> Men, Elven, Dwarven, Mordor, Angmar, Isengard, Goblin, Faction1 (no Faction2)

COPY 2 ---> Men, Elven, Dwarven, Mordor, Angmar, Isengard, Goblin, Faction2 (no Faction1)

The first thing I tried: in playertemplate.ini I changed the faction part "PlayableSide", No for a faction and Yes for the other one, but the game gave a synchronization error when we played in LAN.

Does a solution exist? (every copy contains all the objects of both the factions) =)

Any difference between the mods, however small, will make them not work. So no, you cannot do what it is you ask. You'll simply have to have both factions playable, and then use houserules for which factions you choose.

Or whatever else the purpose is.

But it doesn't have to be anything different. Think of it this way: If it was imposible to modify a certain aspect of a game, then the creators wouldn't have been able to create it. For example, I'm sure something can be done so that the game loads "playertemplate.ini" if X, and "playertemplate2.ini" if Y. X and Y being some difference between the computers. Someone in here might know if there are any "IF" commands avaliable to an INI file. And maybe the file that governs if games are compatible with each other or not could be edited. (my guess is game.dat or somewhere among those lines)
