Hi, I recently fixed a windows glitch that maybe evident on other windows systems, mine for documentation sake was windows 7.

Problem: All windows (Browser, word processor, Paint Programs, etc) when maximized or 'docked' on the side where it needs to fit the height of the screen would ignore the task bar forcing the bottom of the window to be hidden.

Solution 1:

Right click on Task bar -> Properties.

Enable "Auto-hide the taskbar" -> Apply

Disable "Auto-hide the taskbar" -> Apply -> Ok
