So recently I had this game, on a random generated map with two island, one for me, one for the AI. Gamemode was battle. What I noticed is that when I pwnt all his harvesters with my Libra army, the AI did not even bother with replacing them, yet it kept building Kirovs, Dreadnaughts, Typhoons and Seawolfs, Burillos and Crazy ivans like no tomorrow, as well as replacing costy buildings that I destroyed like, War Factory and Science Lab. So I tought he must have preserved a big portion of the starting cash (I set it to 50k), I trained 12 infiltrators, loaded them into a Mandjet and then sent them into the enemy refinery, to steal 5k each. It didn't stop the AI.

So my question is, do the AI have infinite money, or some invisible cash generator like in Twisted Insurrection?

I guess normal (not in diffculty lol) AI has more money than you, but it can run out of it too. Meteor Shower AI has infinite money I think.

How much more? I have destroyed at least 60k worths of equipent of the AI after it had no resupply, had 12 infiltrators steal 12*5000 from him, and no sign of bankruption.

Edit. ok I dedicated a game solely to make the AI go bankrupt. I destroyed all his miners, the AI did not bother replacing them. Then I sent a massive army of infiltrators to his refinery, stolen over 100k. Still not bankrupt.

The AI needs this amount of money, however silly that sounds like, low-money AIs lose their agression, like MO 2.0.

Blame Westwood.

I totaly agree. I just wanted to know if the AI just have lots of money, or infinite money.

The amount of cash they harvest with one miner is multiplied by 1.25 for a Mental AI, compared to the player.

Ok I made a test, the normal AI hasn't got infinite money, I sent over 200 infiltrators to its refinery, and they have stolen all its money. I never got that much credits that quickly before in RA2  :smilehuh:

Only 1.25, for the hardest AI? I expected more then that seeing the swarms the AI keeps sending, even on Normal.

I was about to say, no way the AI can survive long with 'only' 1.25. It does sound a bit sad that it can only survive with a 6.5 multiplier, doesn't it? Although, this is WW's AI we are talking about... :p

Its also to make sure Spies at least get their money's worth when infiltrating refineries in Skirmish/Campaign.

Well, when I play vs more than one AI, I destroy most of an opponent's base, leaving the refinery (and a barracks/WF; don't want them quitting on me), deploy an MCV there, build a barracks and keep training spies. Unlimited money, yay!

Turning the AI's cheat against it, not bad!

even though if the AI's access to ore is limited, you'll notice the frequency of it's attacks gets seriously low.
