Since BFME is an old game and doesn't support widescreen I had an idea.

I'm pledging $5 to the first person to get fully functional widescreen support for BFME without needing to modify all the maps.

$5 isn't much but I am poor and it's as much as I can afford, but I'd encourage other BFME modders and other people interested to pledge money towards this goal so that we can make it worthwhile for some to implement this.

The Widescreen support like just about everything we do will be made available to the public to add to their mods or patches.

You need to modify the maps for camera height and pitch.

Otherwise it looks really zoomed in...

I said without that because I have already done it for my mod.

The UI is the main part I'm looking for.

I did it, but there are a couple unresolved issues. And the map zoom height isn't "required" but it definitely makes for proper widescreen support, and it takes only like 30 minutes of work to change the zoom height of the maps, then save them into a patch.

Not to speak for Kwen, but the BFME1 widescreen patch is part of a later, planned release. It will come!
