Good evening everyone,

NDC has recently released his Enhanced W3D Importer, a brilliant file that is sure to make our modding lives easier.

NOTE: This W3D Importer works best with 3dsMax 7 and 3dsMax 8. Full compatibility with other versions/RenX is not guaranteed.

This W3D Importer brings some useful new features that Coolfile's W3D Importer does not have:

- Imported BFME2 structures now retain their UV map.
- Meshes can be split by dependencies upon import.
- Imported meshes can retain their binding upon import, meaning that you can make edits (move vertices, edit UV mapping, apply new textures) without having to rebind the model before exporting.

HOW TO INSTALL:

Extract file 'w3dimporter' to Program Files\Autodesk\3dsMax8\Scripts\Startup.

DOWNLOAD LINK:

Thanks for reading and have fun with the Enhanced W3D Importer.

That really looks useful. Binding can be quite annoying sometimes. Awesome stuff :good:

Really? I'll write that down as a + in my 'comeback' block.
