Hello Phoenix Rising Community, I have a suggestion that I wanted to bring into notion.

Suggestion: I'm wondering that instead of one pirate (independent) faction for all different types of neutral planets. I would think if it would be more distinguishable and immersive if we put a separate /pirate/ faction for each different type of canonical faction. Some planets have different types of independents like Black Sun Pirates or the Confederate Remnants.

I'm thinking that each independent faction will have a different color to distinguish what type of planet is currently being contested by those factions.

Steel Blue: Separatist Holdouts

Dark Gold: Black Sun

Light Blue: Corporate Sector Authority

Light Shade of Grey: Independent Imperial/Police Factions

Orange: Independent Rebel Factions

I will also think that each faction will have it's own symbol to distinguish what planet that this faction currently has contested.

Thank you community for taking the necessary time to read my suggestion and I hope it will come into frution in the future.

We're already planning on implementing multiple factions of the kinds you're suggesting here. Thanks for your input :)

Also along those lines..... Bob, are we going to get rid of or have an option to not use the silly team laser colors ?

It just seems silly to have random pirates fire blue blaster bolts, when ion blasters were reletively restricted to GAR and clone war era republic in general, and in general makes it just seem silly given the other work put into cannon stuff.

Since we don't have team colours on units, that's primarily in place for gameplay reasons. It's easy enough to change if you want. Otherwise, voice your concerns to PR since that's his design decision to make.

Would there be any possibility to gain technology through certain planets such as droid foundries to create battle droids?

There are already specific worlds where clone troopers can be trained. However, apart from the CSA, nobody really produced battle droids in the galactic civil war.

I believed the Galactic Empire used droidekas for covering fire and suppression that usually assisted with stormtroopers.

Perhaps in the very early stages; however, we prefer to represent separatist remnants using starting forces.

I understand that perfectly. I really like how the mod sticks to a very good vibe of canon after the Clone Wars and into the Imperial Period.

Along those lines, may I also suggest an overhaul of infocards for planets, making things like that clear ?

A simple 'Unique Units: NAME' type line listing unique units that can be produced, and from what building.

Most planets that can construct clones have a Cloning bonus, but I agree that some of the tooltips could be more informative.

Are the tooltips stored in .xml's or some other plaintext file ?

Also, yes, there are a few issues I can think of off hand.

-some space heroes display their ground unit specs for their space unit (unless you mouseover the actual ship and not an icon).
-some upgrade tooltips show the new stats, some do not.

Add in unique units (and factory produced at) to the infocard.
For heroes, list the worlds they can upgrade at.

Also, prehaps add units spawned to the infocard
-ship compliment
-building compliment on ground

Tooltips are stored in the master text file, in the text folder. It's an encoded DAT file, you need an editor to open it.

Land upgrades were set up to show the stats for the upgraded unit. Space upgrades were not. This has now been rectified along with a new tooltip format for the next release.

Very few worlds produce unique units. As far as I'm aware there are only clones, smugglers and bounty hunters, represented by Cloning and Underworld respectively. However I agree that it could be more clear.

Heroes can upgrade at any world. They just need to be in space. Where heroes can be trained tends to vary from campaign to campaign but we're trying to stop that and make sure they are only buildable at their homeworld. We may add this info to planet tooltips.

Ship complements are difficult to add because ship tooltips are already very very full. Ground building complements may be added to the tooltips, though we are in the process of reviewing their exact composition anyway.
