Something else to consider is the connection between the two/four players,I'd suggest to run a test match first,then the actual match.

and yeah,it's a bummer to have organize a tournament just to have it canceled.

Schedule arrangement is gonna be a pain in the ass since there are players all around the world...

Someone would just need to write up who vs who, then they work out the times between them. There should be an observer in the match to referee it. Maps should be agreed beforehand. Best of 3, best of 5, best of 7 or something like that too, for the various rounds.

Yes it is doable this way, but if you take streaming staff in consideration... then it's another story.
