Gameplay

There are some key changes that effectively mean that the default Stealth tank in Tiberian history is weaker than the C&C3 version! With that opening statement we had better start off by looking at these changes, before dealing with the positives.

First off the experience points have been 'fixed' for this version of the Stealth tank! meaning? well when EALA decided to increase both the attack power and the cost of the C&C3 Stealth tank in one of their patches, as was typical with them, they never bothered to adjust the experience point reward or requirements. This meant that the more powerful Stealth tank still had the experience requirements of the much weaker earlier version of the vehicle, and as such it meant that it was far easier to rank the C&C3 Stealth tank up to HEROIC rank, with all the added benefits.

The Stealth tank now correctly has the ranking requirements of a $1500 vehicle which means that it takes an additional 50% more points to rank up than the C&C3 version.

Also another big change is that the Stealth tank is now classed has a 'small' wheeled vehicle, and as such in order to bring it in line with other small wheeled vehicles, it can no longer run over infantry units! This is a very big deal, as it now means that it is much easier to use infantry to counter Stealth tanks.

Positives?

Well the default weapon no longer does friendly fire damage. This means that the rather irritating occurrence of Stealth tanks destroying each other in an effort to destroy enemy infantry no longer occurs.

Classic Harvester harassment! 3 Stealth tanks will destroy a harvester in one volley.

So with the default Stealth tank the usage is the same, except you must be more wary of anti-vehicle infantry than before.

Still very useful vs the Scrin's aerial fleet!

Blue Tiberium Mix upgrade

Now we are talking! The Stealth tank can now benefit from the legendary 'Blue tiberium mix' upgrade available at the Nod chemical plant.

This is similar to the 'Tiberium warhead' upgraded Stealth tanks in Kane's wrath, except here the weapon is even stronger!

First off another negative. Unlike the standard weapon, the 'Blue mix' warhead does damage to friendly vehicles and will easily destroy friendly Stealth tanks.

Other than that you can use the upgraded Stealth tanks in a similar manner to the Kane's wrath upgraded stealth tanks. Particular mention goes to the increased usefulness against structures with the upgraded weapon.

Small groups are very strong vs structures!

In order to master the tremendous power you now control, you will have to learn to minimise overkill with your upgraded Stealth tanks.

For example if 3 Humvees were chasing you down, a single burst of missiles from your 'Blue mix' (or standard) Stealth tank will destroy a single Hummer, but that is massive overkill. What would be much better is if you micromanage your burst and spilt it between the 3 Humvees (by quickly switching targets) and destroying all of them with one burst!

Using this principle is key to getting the most out of your Stealth tank. Practice will get you a feel of when to switch targets, and how many individual missiles are need for various targets.

This is overkill!

Remember when facing the stronger aerial units, nothing does as much damage in one volley as your upgraded Stealth tanks, however the fragility of your Stealth tank, as well as minimising overkill, must be taken into account.

For skilled Stealth tank users, despite the changes, the goal should still be to get a 'HEROIC' Stealth tank. Still one of the most useful 'HEROIC' units you can have in the right hands.

"GG!"

Some Stats:

Blue Mix Missile
Weapon strength: 1050 (KW Tib Core Stealth Tank = 430)
Weapon Clip size: 5 (KW Tib Core Stealth Tank = 5x2, two missile pod)
Weapon range: 275 (Same)
Weapon Reload: 5 seconds (Same)

Damage Radius: 20 (KW Tib Core Stealth Tank = 10)

Damage Scalar vs Air: 150% (KW Tib Core Stealth Tank = 200!)
Blue Mix Missile Ratings
Primary use: Anti-Vehicle
Anti-Vehicle rating: Very Good+. Tremendous damage (especially in rear vehicle amour) with a high chance of hitting before enemy, but Stealth tank is too fragile.
Secondary use: Anti-Air
Anti-Air rating: Excellent. Tremendous damage, but it is very easy to overkill vs weaker targets. Good micro control is a must!
Tertiary use: Anti-Structure
Anti-Structure rating: Very Good. Great damage, but be careful to maintain micro while reloading between shots
.

Run silent, strike hard, leave victorious!
