I'll start

 

It's a quarter of a year old, and was bought in 2013, but what the hell

 

Got it for Christmas, a Macbook Pro with Retina Display. And as most of you probably don't follow Apple stuff, some specs!

 

15.4" 2880x1800 Display, 220ppi.

2.3GHz (Turbo boosts to 3.5GHz) Intel Haswell Quad-Core i7.

16GB RAM.

512GB PCIe SSD.

Intel Iris Pro Graphics with an additional NVIDIA GeForce 750M.

OS X Mavericks.

 

And, of course, please no Apple hate. Like, at all. That's a condition for posting here

I'm curious about the price to quality ratio though.

Yeah, I am too It's my first ever Apple Laptop, but I own (and am typing on) an iPad mini.

Expensive though it is, my previous laptop, a £1000+ Windows 7 thing, only lasted a year and a half before half its keys stopped working, and developed a white screen of death issue, and has been pretty rubbish ever since. So if this one lasts me 3 years, it'll have been more price-effective than my previous one,

Also, OS X is amazing for me, since I like photography and videography. Apple handles that much better than Microsoft.
