This map is made by Wheellee and me. =D Wheellee is a Rivendell expert and created the layout for a Rivendell set during the time of the War of the Ring that takes the version we see during the Quest for Erebor. Both Rivendell's are very different, but the main hint comes from a scenic screenshot from Fellowship of the Ring.

I am now working on the terrain, Wheellee is planning where to put a few more buildings. Here is a work in progress picture.

Implies the house is a helluva lot closer to the new courtyard thing.

Note: I don't like Imgur (for limiting pics) or Photobucket for not supporting simple forum images anymore.

I've been creating some more layout of the Rivendell map. A fun fact about this map - I don't honestly think that I will be needing the Map Cliff Textures tool. =O

Looks good, I HATE the EA version of Rivendell, and you have cured it!! I don't get why Weta changed the look for the Hobbit...

That might be evident if I showed you a picture of Rivendell itself. I am co-mapping Rivendell with Wheellee who has done a lot of research into the differences between The Hobbit's Rivendell layout and LotR's layout. =p Water erodes stuff quickly.

Great work so far! :D By the way, this map is of Rivendell from the Hobbit, right? Because I thought that Rc mod's Rivendell map was of the LOTR Rivendell?.

My plan so far
RC-Mod LotR and Hobbit
SEE LotR and Hobbit

LotR is the working copy and the only thing nearing completion is the upper valley.

The images are teasers, however Hobbit Rivendell has bridges and stairs in the area shown in image 2. It leads up to the observatory.

All of them. LotR Rivendell has ruins.

Is the Hobbit Rivendell map going to be included in the version of RC (beta 3.00) that is said to be released on 24.04.2015?

Most likely not, but i'm implementing a patching system that should allow us to send out smaller updates whenever they are ready, without having the player download it from moddb and all that :p

But as far as I can see this is an SEE topic, so this is not really the place to discuss RC :p

Love how the map is coming along though! :)

Yep, the map looks really amazing :D and, yeah since you mentioned it, it's really not the topic to discuss RC :p
