Alright I tried something and it still didn't work.

Now here's the deal. I can't start the game because there seems to be no cd like it says here: http://gyazo.com/1e5...999d941f966e94c

But the thing is I do have the mini images in the right place like here: http://gyazo.com/bad...44ae86108cbba9c

As soon as I start Daemon Tools to mount the images, it says the cd is used for pictures in stead of the game like so: http://gyazo.com/ef7...417860e15bd2103

I then figured that opening the autorun in the mini images file would work.

But I stumbled onto this: http://gyazo.com/3bf...7a0a0777fd8d2ad

I have no idea on how I can fix this, so please help me out :)

Sorry for 'spamming' all these links.

It seemed like the easiest way to explain my problem.

You can not start the game with the mini images, you have to mount them (what you did, but make sure you use the daemon tools version I linked above) and afterwards start it with the T3A launcher as usual.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

When I have the mini images loaded and start the game it still says I need a cd like here: http://gyazo.com/c65...a76a12e943a94ed

I think I have to be able to run the mini images before I can start playing the game. But I don't know where to go from here since nothing seems to work..

I said, the mini images are not to be run, they just make the game think that the original CD is inserted if they are properly mounted with daemon tools. You can not actually run anything from the mini images, you must start the game normally via the launcher.

Please make sure to describe exactly step by step what you did and tried so that I can understand the situation better.

Alright. Here are the steps I followed:

1. I mounted the Mini image.

2. I ran the game via the normal launcher as administrator.

3. It still asks for a cd.

Hope this clears things up a little.

Did you check this video on mounting?

also,

If you are having an issue starting the game because you get an error saying the wrong CD is inserted:

Solution: Go to the BFME2 installation folder (Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth™ II) Right click lotrbfme2.exe, Properties -> compatibility -> Change Settings for all users -> tick out the compatibility mode.

I feel quite stupid now.

I totally overlooked the SCSI mount.

It works now thank you!

Sorry for all the trouble I've caused you.

Read a few of the posts above you. With that little information you give I can not help you at all.

Don't overwrite the game.dat. Im suspecting that would crack your game which makes it unplayable online. Just install the original game or the one I showd you in oyur other post and follow the guide. Watch the video 4 posts above yours to see how to mount the mini images.

Here's my problem: I have the game installed, the patchswitcher etc. I can login and chat with people in the lobby but I can't manage to enter a game. I always receive the message : "User is using a different version". I have the 1.6 patchswitcher and I tried using all the patch available (1.00/1.6/1.8) and I still received the same message. I even talked with some people in the lobby and they told me we had the same version but for an unknown reason I was still unable to join a hosted game.

I'm not using deamon tools, I had the real game 2-3 years ago and installed it on my laptop. But one day I had an accident with the cd and I used a no cd patch to run the game, you think it could be the problem?

Hi, yes you can not use a crack/no-cd version to play the game in multiplayer. Just uninstall and reinstall the game normally and patch + mount mini images and it will work.

Hey,please just download the patch from any other site if ours is offline. Google for the patch, the first results will help you. Then follow the instructions of the installer.

Hello,

So I just heard about this online server, and I have to say I'm pretty excited to re-live the old days when I played this game for hours at a time.

However, whenever I click on the link to download patch 1.06, I am taken to a blank page.

Does anyone have any alternative download links?

Thanks!
