Is the widescreen version an adjustment of the camera heights for all the maps? Did you have to edit each map individually? If you were to play online, would the other player also need this patch to play with you?
The map camera settings are independently usable. This is an exact mirror of the BFME1 _WSMaps.big package. It should contain all multiplayer maps with 300-450 zoom settings.
"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

This sounds like a dream come true. I have the same questions as Rob though..

It won't cause any issues playing online.

Oh and Nazgul - this won't affect the SEE mod. NJM has already done this for the maps in SEE.
Thanks Mathias for making the vanilla BfME II maps easier to play competitively. =D

There are special bonuses for playing against me, I need experimental maps to be tested. =D

Math correct me if I'm wrong here but I believe you've just added all the APT's neccesary for widescreen.
However this does not imply the maps were all zoomed out-I did this for 107 & 8 and would prefer(tho i cant stop you), if this stays specific to 108-that is how its been done in the switcher, intentionally. At least for now.
Rob to answer your question Widescreen can play against players without the widescreen patch, since APT's dont cause mismatches. We've had them in the BTP Patches since 2006, I believe they were originally developed by Jetslandingboard.

I support Revora to add WS to 106 in the switcher if they wish, just please don't add the 108 maps to 106. 108 already has WS.

Oh please no, not with the mess you made of some of them. =p (Unless I don't have the newest version?)

I dont really care about your constant put downs of the patch Matt, not interested.

It's an identical process to the one made for BFME1. I just went through each map and changed zoom settings, nothing related to APTs. I called it Widescreen Patch because that's what the BFME1 community insists on calling it.
You could've just taken a look...

Oh I see, well, you are welcome to use the WS APT's located in 108, for 106 if you wish. Just to clarify it unstretches all the icon's including spellstore to their original ratio's when using a WS monitor, gives it a nice sharp looking game, as it is on normal monitors, i.e unstretched.
Please help yourself to those if you like.

Oh I might add them to TPW. I'm not going to release any further '1.06 patches'.

I don't suppose anyone has the APTs for 16:10 ratio (eg. 1440x900)? I see they are optimised for 16:9 (eg. 1920x1080) screens at the moment. Or can someone point me to where to tweak things in the APTs? I have the XML versions of them and can recompile. Is it a major job? Thanks! PS. You guys rock. Good job.
