I asked many players on GR about serveur, most of them tell me that they will coming when the statistics will work. So i think it's the priority if we want to bring players.

I just joined.  The truth is I probably won't actively choose T3A over Gameranger until we have working stats.  Do you have a timeframe when you expect it to be running with stats?

In short: No.

Companies don't like deadlines, and we even less ;).

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

That is up to you. However, we would really appreciate some support and activity while we work on this. The complete lack of support/interest of most GameRanger players has been a little disheartening for me.

I will try and convince my buddies to come check it out.  I hope I don't come across negatively.  I really appreciate what you guys are doing.  Stats have been the one thing I have missed the most from the old EA servers and it is exciting that you guys are working to ressurect this.  All the best.

I was just online and saw that a couple of guys had 1 win 0 losses under their name.  I noticed that it was tracking each players favorite race too.  Does that mean stat tracking is starting to make its way in there?

Well, yes and no. These stats are temporary and will reset once you log out. They're an unforeseen and fortunate bi-product of some tinkering Phil did :p We'll be building on them to make them permanent, like the old days.

I'm trying to bring people on it and i noticed two things which is :

1) People don't know T3A and what you are doing for 90% of them... unfortunatly, so it would be great if we make a team/campain for promote the servor i thinks some good player here have a long database of member who would like to be back on the game.(most of them said they will keep using gr cause their friend use it) so we really need to change people mind.

2) Yeah stats, seems pro/good player and some people say they will be back when the stat will be implemented on the servor.

3) Seems Pro don't want it because it's laggy, that i didn't notice and trust me i have a very bad conn.

I love what you are doing guy, just keep it up ;) !

The Noob,

[RECON]Xelenos/Support BFME 2.

PS: Sorry for my english :p

Check out the Christmas MOTDs that are currently on the server. They show some of our upcoming plans.

Concerning GameRanger; yeah, it's an annoying thing to deal with. From my experience (and that of others I've spoken to) GameRanger is inferior to the server as it causes more lag and requires lobby spamming (and paid membership for an ideal environment), as well as being permanently stuck without stats and other server improvements (they will never advance the experience to match and improve upon what we had during the EA days). Another thing GameRanger players insist on needing is simple chat and the ability to tab out and get informed when people join their game. These are things we are looking into and working on, alongside stats and a better website.

We'll see what happens once we implement our planned additions and improvements. If GameRanger continues to have a much larger playerbase, we'll come up with more plans. :p

Which means your help is appreciated as much as needed from anyone, to spread the word!

But be careful, gameranger likes to ban user machines when they try to move people away from it.

True, but I recently hosted a game called 'T3A:Online > GameRanger. Join the real server!' for about 6 hours with no repercussions. :p

I think they only ban during important releases. Last time was when we advertised patch 1.06, the news of which I guess woke up some admin.

Okie so my group is currently at 125 members, not all of them are active but I can't force people to play lol... anyway, my group is helping the community stay active and i've mentioned the point that gr will not update unlike t3a towards gr players. They aren't going to listen untill they see some proof. So soon as you guys get stats going ill be able to get many many many more gr players to join. Whatever other plans you guys may have, I would love to get some notice that way I can advertise and bring more people into the t3a servers. Keep up the amazing work that you guys are doing, me and my group are behind you all the way. Also we've been using skype and although it has been a wonderfull way to get games going I can't help but to think there could be a better more efficient way. People get a little sketched out when i ask them to add me on skype and they get annoyed by the constant new messages in group before realizing they can turn of the notification setting. If you guys know of or can create something similair without the issues that skype has it will help me expand the community even further.
