Hi all, I need if I can provide help with the design of new models. Specifically I need to know is this: I have taken the SKL and SKN Glorfindel and want to start modifying only the SKN (eg the shape of the sword and face shape), as I do to do that and as exported .
thank you very much

I've edited your post title to not be all-caps.

You can adjust the shape of a model by converting the mesh to editable mesh (or if you're using 3ds max, I suggest using editable poly). Do this by right clicking on your mesh and clicking 'convert to editable mesh'. You can then move the vertices (little blue dots) around to change shape.

Mathijs ...... thank you very much .... and that I have done .... but .....

.... the real problem is that I have to modify the model and test it in the game does not move (if displaced) .... I guess it is due to a problem with the skeleton ....... read all tutorials ...... forum and 3rd age .......... but the problem remains ........ I guess it has to do with the way I do union skeleton to the model .............. when I click "Add Bones", which options should I select??? ........ few files I generate in exportation? .... the skeleton and model or just the model???

Kind regards

Importing a model causes its rigging data to be lost. You have to rerig it. More info on that can be found in this excellent tutorial: http://www.the3rdage...tem-373?addview

There is another way, though. Get 3ds max 7 or 8 (preferably 8), and use NDC's w3d importer, which allows you to preserve the rigging.

There's plenty of texturing tutorials around the web. We have some here as well:

http://www.the3rdage...tem-166?addview

http://www.the3rdage...tem-160?addview

http://www.the3rdage...tem-159?addview

http://www.the3rdage...tem-158?addview

http://www.the3rdage...tem-157?addview

These are all by Nertea, one of the best texture artists to have graced us here :p so they might be a little too complicated for you. Still, there are good pointers in there for every texturer.

To learn how to apply new textures, read the last bits of my looong post here: http://forums.revora...tions/?p=943271
