That would imply Pollock is an artist.

Bah, he was popular at a time when art had a permanent dwelling located right up it's own ass.
Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock were hacks that can be one of my mildly controversial things.

I would agree that most manga and anime is not actually art. At least not in the conventional sense.

Anime is about the same level of "art" as disproportionate drawings from 6-year-olds.

That wasn't my point, but eh.

I actually prefer Disney's comics than anything ever made by any other HQ, being it DC or Marvel, or even Anime (which also isn't art from my point of view).
Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge's, Zé Carioca... those are awesome.

Actually, I just thought of two things. One, that I don't shower every day, like most people, I just shower when I'm dirty and need to. And two, that I really really hate it when people make shitty fan art of bands and think it's good. Actually, no, I just hate it when people think they're artists because they can't actually do art. And then boast about it. Those are the times when I just feel like telling them honestly they can't actually draw.

Lots of people in the modern age can draw. They just haven't found a way to make other people care.

A proper knee capping, boy. Good and proper.
This may be the most controversial thing I have ever said, but I don't pop my popcorn until it completely pops. I stop about 20 seconds soon, which leaves about 30 kernels unpopped. Why? Because of the butter. If you leave it in too long, the butter will dry up. Cousin Willie is my favorite brand, and it has a generous dosage of butter. That extra 20 seconds would just dry it all up. Just try it. The difference is there.

Nor do I take it as 'just paintings'. But I do feel that, to truly impress me, there should be more than what you simply see in it.
For clarification, I know this is an entirely opinion-based discussion, so feel free to disagree.
