What about you don't miss much a couple behind the scenes interviews showing stuff that didn't make it into game.

It's a pretty cool disc I've watched once. The worth of purchasing a hard copy is rather subjective. I prefer it, but more logical people likely don't.

Everything you see behind the scenes makes it into the game
It's really interesting (especially for modders) to see how the game was made

Okay so some animations weren't there, but the real stuff, like whole new systems and features, it's cool to see those in production by the professionals.

Yes BFME1 did suffer from the false images on the back of the game box disease.

Has anyone ever watched the bonus disc twice?

I have, but I don't make a habit of watching it on any kind of regular basis. Though at this point I care more about BfME than BfME 2 and RotWK, because I have never cared for the wall system or the liberties EA took with the lore, especially with the Elves and Dwarves.

I sadly do watch that DVD often enough. I can't play BFME1 though, the building system is so cramped and restrained, the lack of unit variety makes for a boring game and only four factions (in the original) really pisses me off.

BfME, cramped and restrained? If anything is cramped and restrained its BfME 2 and it's resource system and limited armies, especially with heroes costing command points. I agree on the lack of unit variety, but I will take build plots over poorly implemented free building, where the builder can't even repair buildings.
