Great Mod .. I like the removal of rushing. It was very annoying the computer AI immediately rushing my resource buildings and the wider build area of walls around the fortress is nice.
I love the alot less zone for my resource buildings so I can build / defend them better. I noticed the resource buildings seem to be a bit backwards though. They earn 30 resources when I first build them starting a new game but by level 3 my gondor resource building were like earning only 10-12 resources each. or sometime later in the game cause I noticed even my later lvl 1 buildings only started earning 10 - 12 when I first built them in later stage of game.
I had the load game corruption on my first game and couldn't load it up but I saw a post about Create a Hero's maybe causing the problem and I deleted all of the ones I had and played a 2nd game and was able to load it.
I don't know if it was because my computer is so old and was very laggy first game but the gonder/rohan units seemed to take forever to build even on level 3. Like 5 or more minutes for 1 knight unit. Didn't time it but it seemed forever. I know units take longer but I played Moria / goblins faction next and those were alot faster / more reasonable. It's a spam faction I know but it took forever on gondor / rohan faction to even build a small army and would get wiped out with all the evil faction magic as soon as I took it out of the base.
I loved the 2nd game with goblins. I had 4 players instead of six and it cut the lag more. Mordor had like 3 nazgul, sauron, the balrog, the worm and units all devastating my base and all my units but I had just got done with about 6 giants and it spawned the balrog right on the spot they were but I was able to get them around and they had wiped out my entire base except a new builder I had moved building a new fortress far away and I was able to win with the 5 giants and took out there whole base with 1 almost dead giant left
A couple questions though if anyone reads this that knows the answers.
1.) What patch version of BFME2 is this for? I have the patch switcher and it doesn't load with 1.08 version so I been playing it with 1.06 version but I heard 1.06 has lot's of bugs in it. Is this meant to be played with 1.0 version or 1.06?
2.) I have a very old computer and I think I read this mod has a lot of reskins with higher textures which my computer can't handle. I could play 6 to 8 AI players on lowest settings in skirmish before but 6 on my first game with this mod I was moving at like 5 or less FPS. I realize this has alot to do with all the extra units at play with summons staying active for longer periods and seems like tougher units.
Is there a way to remove the the new textures / skins ? or are they all new file names that would mess up the game if I removed them?
