I thought it would be interesting to show off some art/artists that you like.

I'm going to start off with a Deviantart user named Agacross who has a really cool drawing style.

My favorite visual artists (big list incoming):

Vincent van Gogh (by far my favorite painter)

tumblr_mg8me4Yhbt1rsjf0eo1_500.jpg

Zdzisław Beksiński (Pasidon, look at some of his work)

570px-Untitled_painting_by_Zdzislaw_Beks

Carel Willink (his scenes are so ominous and moody, I fell in love with them at first sight)

carel-willink-cat197_landscape_wit16b71c

Goya (especially his final 'black paintings', painted on the walls of his house while he was going blind and deaf, close to his death)

saturno_1_1-290x290.jpg

Dali (dat stache)

Salvador_Dali_A_%2528Dali_Atomicus%2529_

Edward Hopper

Barbara Polderman (a contemporary Dutch artist who creates haunting sculptures of fabric)

Renoir

Max Ernst

Monet

Narcoze (street artist)

Magritte

and many more whose names I cannot now remember.

I like art.

For me, the typical Giger and Beksiński ((thank you Mathijs, finally someone else who recognizes that name!).

Plus others, like Seth Siro Anton:

Anja Millen (below, probably my favourite artwork of all time):

I mean, there's more, but these are by far my top four, so I don't want to degrade their significance by putting too many 'favourites'.

Oh, my god yes Nick Keller. Especially Everblack and his self portrait. Never heard of Alex Grey.

(Oh, and of course John Howe and the Weta art team, how did I forget? - not too fond of Alan Lee though).

I was trying to post some cool Frank Miller stuff (him being the most iconic modern artist today), but Revora is spitting format issues at me for no reason.  So yea.  Frank Miller.  He makes cool stuff.  And having an opinion about art that is borderline Nazi, I hope that's saying something.

Frank Miller is borderline nazi as well. But yeah, he has a neat style.

Women staring at things, by Dr. Hopper.  The dream-weaving grasshopper with a PHD in Urban things.

Oh, this Frank Miller piece will work.  After I uploaded it... guhh...  An alternative art piece for one the the early Batman "Detective" novels.  I love the desolate and desperate characters he creates. Like a Sin City twist on a Batman villain.  Wunda'bah.

That's awesome. I often wish I had put in the extra effort to go onto study visual arts.

I might still do it, though.

Albert Speer is a Nazi (as opposed to just being a borderline Nazi), he was the Minister of Armaments and War Production for the Third Reich and an architect.
