Is cronal's flagship in the mod? And does it have the black color its supposed to have? If so, which campaign GC can I use him in?

Yes the ship is there in the Galaxy far far away campaign (and maybe in others too), although it's not black as far as I remember.

I'm not sure if it's black off the top of my head but does have a constant Missle jamming, as do the Tie Interceptors in its compliment.

I never recall it being black, but I never really used it much.

Constant missile jamming huh.... I may have to try it sometime...

But to be honest at some stage Cronal's ISD1 become more liability than help...

 

Rarely using heroes. It's too perilous when forces are more or less equal. For flavor sake they must remain alive. :smilehuh:

Yeah, the ISD 1 is far from a juggernaught against other cap ships.

My heroes that have one tend to become rear area garrison forces.

Of course it's not as bad as rebel cap ship heros...... most are so fucking weak against a ship with a few upgrades.

That is why I beef up heroes to be real heroes. Changing (e.g.) ISD 1 for 4. And/or adding/removing some weapon mounts, shields, hull. Toying with specials and fighter complement. Far from them being game changers - they cannot roam free across the map - but at least are useful at later stages.... if I feel that using hero is good idea.

It will be interesting to see how heroes will play out in 1.3v

Removing personal ships means less OP in the form of a free unit, but now at least heroes can attach to (hopefully) the most powerful ship in a fleet so they can be more viable in combat, and for their bonuses.

Is it possible to make hero's give a flat buff to whatever ship they get attached to? Just to protect them slightly more since they are so valuable?

I like the personal ships, they just need to be upgradable.

Make it so, Cronal for example, can upgrade his ISD-I to a newer model.
Prehaps have the upgrade be dependent on newer model ISDs being researched too.

That one change will fix most of the related headaches.

For hero TIE units, add hyperdrives.
Yes, it may not be struictly canon, but it makes them cease to be a liability that slows the fleets movements.
