Ahoy, L-Zero-V-One.  Hmm... I feel like I'm saying that wrong.  Welcome.  You can use mods until your computer explodes, but make sure you're not modding your game for our competitive servers. That's a no-no.  And you absolutely can upload map packs.  Just make sure you're not being sneaky and stealing anyone's work.   

 

Besides that, the internet is a wonderful place with wonderful people.  And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm [Name is too funny for you all] and I'm from India.

 

17 years of age, Command and Conquer was my first game ever, back in 2006, I didn't really have my own PC since I was an outside-kinda guy and used my dad's work laptop to play Red Alert 2, eventually I conquered the entire campaign on hard and never really played Yuri's Revenge since it couldn't work for me for some reason (( I was young, couldn't figure out shit. XD )). Later on, in 2010, I started playing Command and Conquer again, I played though most of them this time since I could save up money and purchase them, I went on to play Tiberium Sun, Firestorm, C&C 3, Tiberium Dawn, Kane's wrath, Red Alert 3 and finally Yuri's Revenge.

 

I moved on to other games later in 2012, like Garry's mod, etc...

 

I came back in 2013 to check on C&C 4 since it was marketed like a godly game, I played though it and never felt so terrible, no strategy, no nothing, it killed off C&C for me, being disappointed that I never got to see a true legendary ending to the long Tiberium franchise, I left it. I played other games again and left my PC for a while in 2014 to 2015 because of important exams.

 

In 2015 December, during holidays, I was googling on how to play C&C online since the services were shut down, and here I am.

Well, ahoy.  Glad to see you have good taste in games.  And yea, C&C 4 was a catastrophe.  If you want strategy games that give you a challenge, there are plenty of them outside of C&C.  Xcom 2 being a recent addition to the pool.  And I dunno how people get into Gary's Mod.  I used to play around with it back when it was still in alpha, and I still can't figure it out.  Though, I hear they have lots of PvP stuff now.

Came up with the name in a drunk skype chat with my UK mates.

 

I heard Grey Goo was good aswell, never really understood it though. Garry's mod has changed alot from the alpha, it's a bit more fun now and a lesser amount of children flood servers.

Grey Goo is really good, but if you want a large player base, you might be disappointed.  It's a shame that not many people play it, but if you just enjoy a single player RTS, then it might be worth a punt.
