Hey guys!

I'm studying in Switzerland next year. What are fun things to do in the area. I'm already planning on going to see my favorite soccer (Fußball) team play aka Bayen Munchen. I'll be working on the Zurich Stock market so after market times I basically have unlimited time to do whatever.

I should also note I'm a big fan of architecture so I plan on visiting Venice, Florence, and Rome.

You realize those places aren't in Switzerland and that Europe is not a country, right? :p

I'm aware :p everything is so close by in Europe though. Like if i was driving from Zurich to Copenhagen Google is saying it'll only take around 12 hours. Bayern Munchen is a German team so I'm willing to travel for activities haha

Do so, Bart lives right around the corner so we can make it a threesome.

Anyway, I'd recommend visiting Berlin. It's by far the greatest city I have visited.

To me it's a city of contrasts; amazing old and stately architecture, museums with incredible ancient era collections (Pergamon and everything else on the Museum Square), the Berliner Dom and many of the structures along the Unter den Linden street, but also the amazing modern architecture of Potsdamer Platz (Sony Center!). The remnants of the Wall, the depressing communist flats in the East contrasted to the colorful flats in the West...

Do make sure to book a reservation to be allowed up into the Reichstag dome, the view is amazing.

Amsterdam is also a pretty great city, even if you're not into smoking grass and making sweet love to prostitutes. It's got a score of amazing museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum), unique architecture, neat parks, beautiful streets, grass, prostitutes, etc.

For architecture, the Rijksmuseum is really something.

And I thought this was about switzerland :p

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."
